making and publishing a video game are 2 different things, but OK.

Ok, maybe I forgot about LJN being a publisher but I guess correcting me for just a lousy mistake means that I didn't know that LJN was just a publisher and for the fact that Rare and Atlus was responsible for making these terrible games for the NES.

lol
Capcom where to begin
They shut down clover studios which means probably no more Viewtiful Joe , Okami or God Hand
DLC up the ass
Treating Mega Man like shit
Fucking up Devil May Cry
neglecting lesser known series like Darkstalkers
Milking the fuck out of Street Fighter.
List goes on
I have a penis

The only game from the above list they didn't buy over from THQ is Killer is Dead, so your argument doesn't really serve its purpose imo. I do agree that one really bad game doesn't warrant the world's worst video game company, that one'd be reserved for one that consequently put(s) out bad games.
LJN (kudos to the AVGN)? Titus, responsible for Superman 64 and let us not forget the Game Boy Color Hercules game?
Or even the likes of post-Microsoft Rare? '90s Activision, even?
There are, and always will be a lot of bad game companies. That's what I've learned today.
- EA, hands down, one of the worst.
- Zynga, too.
- The company/guy that made Flappy Bird and promptly disappeared up its own existence.
- Whoever made Candy Crush
- PopCap, after being bought by EA.
- Capcom
- Nintendo of America
- Microsoft, that one time when they made people go nuts over their ambitions with the XBone.
- United Aerospace Corporation
- Light Industries
and the worst of them all...
- Black fucking Mesa.
Abstergo Entertainment has gone to shit these future couple of years.
No, but in all seriousness, EA is kinda silly in how bad it is. Though, there was that one time like a year ago that it participated in a Humble Bundle. Maybe they've been half-trying to improve their image?
I mean, after something like this, they should at least be on their toes.
Atlus has a ton of good points, but it also has a ton of wth points. When localizing Japanese games, the English dubs are kinda shit (Persona aside), and they absolutely refuse to incorporate dual audio because they're scared that JP residents will try to import Western releases to play. Which is a little ridiculous to me.

He's bringing it back, apparently.
- Nintendo of America
Why do people keep saying this?! Please, somebody, give me some context. Nintendo has been steadily improving over the course of the last year! Is nobody excited for Smash 4 anymore? Is nothing sacred?

Oh, why lord, why? Is there no god?! Fuck that game.

Well, sometimes they just fuck with you, y'know? That recent copyright issue with YouTube, which, looking back was about a year ago/few years ago (I can't remember for the likes of me) it doesn't seem to recent, but yeah, they're trigger happy with copyrights. Shutting down some fan games and a fan film. I get it, but y'know it just seems brutal.
They're not part of the worst (I could've deprecated them from the list but NG doesn't have an "edit post" option), but they (like the rest of us all) just suck sometimes.
Nintendo of Japan is alright, even though they're virtually the same thing, NoA likes cleaning things up too much.
Oh and Reggie Fils-Aime is weird, too. (I know that's not a valid reason to call them a bad company, but this is just my useless 2 cents on the issue).

Actually, they changed it so Let's Players would split their revenue with Nintendo, which is exactly what Microsoft and Capcom have been doing.

Is your body not ready?
Square-Enix pisses me off. They shut down several fan projects and do stupid shit like refusing to remake Final Fantasy VII despite the demand for it.
At 6/2/14 01:01 PM, oobooglunk wrote: Is your body not ready?
Sadly, no.
Plus they're not ready to release Mother 1 or 3 to Western audiences after almost 20 years. So that's points being docked for me. Actually there are a couple games that are Japan-exclusive that I'd like to see distributed to the western audiences, mostly from the NES-GameCube era.

and they wonder why they were in a 5 financial hole besides lost profit margins from development to sales, stock holders short selling their stocks (Sony has been selling theirs and a fan sold his 5% because not remaking FFVII) making shit games like KH prequels to sequels and the debacle with FFXIV (spent 40 Million fixing it firing everyone and rehiring new people) and the shit stain that was FFXIII that took a whole console generation.
I guess at the present time, the shittiest company IMO is Ubisoft, with their horrible DRM and policy of forcing you to use their system, even though you bought the game at Steam. Also due to the fact that they seem to be releasing sequels without putting much effort into quality, but this is just from what I've heard, because the last game I've played from them was AC 2.
Activision and EA are also notorious for being crappy companies, but neither seem to receive such negative ratings as Ubisoft.
shit's amazing

They were both released on the GBA.
Seriously, get educated, Nintendo haters! I'm fed up with this lost cause!

No. In the case of Mother 3, at least, it was ported to the US (albeit unofficially).

It wasn't ported. The dedicated fans of the game just made a fan-translation.
Players should boycott EA until they get better or go out of business.

Semantics; it exists in America. Besides, at least Nintendo brought Earthbound to the Virtual Console.

This and this only. Lead translator on the project also works for Funimation. Think in an interview, he started the translation after Itoi stated he had no plans to release Mother 1 or 3 outside of Japan.
LJN.
Having their name on ANYTHING is like the video game equivalent of the kiss of death.

Well it does, but the fact that fans of the game beat Nintendo to doing so.
Besides, at least Nintendo brought Earthbound to the Virtual Console.
Yeah, that was a nice decision.
Besides I already said that I would've removed them from my list after looking at them again, if only NG had an "Edit Post" option.
They're not really one of the worst, but they're doing apparently pretty badly in the console war compared to the others.
