Hai NG.
I've been watching a lot of stand-up comedy lately, so I was wonderin' what comedians Da BBS likes, and by extension, which ones I should take a look at. Mah favorites at the moment are Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant and Louis C.K., all three fuckin' awesome in my humble opinion.
I'd like to know who you prefer, mates!

This, yet sometimes his stand ups were more political than comedy, and throwing jokes here and there didn't change the fact that it was just manipulation.

I listen to standup on the radio every night so it's hard to pick favorites, but I certainly think of George Carlin and Mitch Hedberg as being on a higher plane of existence than most other comics.
You look nice today.

Josh Blue. He has cerebral palsy and isn't afraid to joke about it, and I don't feel bad for laughing at his jokes about it because he's the one making the jokes.

Bill Hicks was really great, but I think the political weight of his stand-up turns a lot of people off. A good amount of it is 1/3 comedy and 2/3 serious social commentary, which I really enjoy listening to, but I can understand that it's a bit heavy if you're just after a few yuks.

Dave Chappelle when he was still alive.
Michael Blackson. You don't laugh because his jokes are funny. You laugh because he says outlandish shit in an African accent.

I find Lewis Black to be quite funny. George Carlin was awesome until he started to use his platform mainly for political humor which was just outright manipulation. Robin Williams is never the same show twice. Ron White is hilarious. Ricky Gervais is hit and miss for me. I don't understand the popularity with Dane Cook, Louis C.K., Bill Burr, or fucking Daniel Tosh.

I'm glad someone got what I was saying.
Currently, he's doing standups here and there; most of them impromptu shows and instant sell-outs.
Sadly, I've yet to see or hear one of these shows.

I forgot to mention Monty Python. They've got a new show on the way, too.
Those guys are a riot, if they're your thing.
Actually, any comedian can be a riot if they're your thing.
