As far as entertainment goes, Adult Swim and Comedy Central are still good omit the weekends when Adult Swim shows a good anime and a bunch of bad anime and Comedy Central plays a bunch of fucking terrible and unfunny movies.

you do realize canadian television is comprised of 95% american channels with american programming, right? It really is almost identical to american TV.

Celebrity tabloids, news channels that report about nothing valuable... We have the bane of american television and even less.
There isn't much I can say as I haven't actually watched television in what feels like ages.
American television is inescapable, in a way.
Upside is that it may be better then some local shows (if you're foreign), some of it, at least.
Downside is that it introduces folks to some of the more fucked up parts of American pop culture. (Snake Salvation, MTV and all that.)
