... Anchor tags?

Remember when many a webmaster would use the <a name> tag to add anchors all over the place, denoting important headers, sections, etc.?

I always find myself wishing people used anchors more often so that I could send a friend to an anchored link rather than having to tell them to Ctrl+F or explain what I want them to see. It's just so much more convenient. Seems like pretty much the only site that uses this on a regular basis is Wikipedia for obvious reasons.

What tags are important? I could make a pretty extensive list of pointless and completely functionless tags that I would rather see fall out of use. I love me some anchor tags.
