I really mean the worst of the worst; where there are more bad members than good on a single website or network of sites.

I personally think Facebook, Tumblr and 9gag have some of the worst communities. Just the same images saying some of the same things being reposted over and over. People complaining about various things, politics, religion, science and their lives without much knowledge on some of the subjects they fight about. It's terrible.

Also... inb4 someone posts a site with an actually good community just to troll.

Youtube. It's super popular so it's super full of idiots.

Facebook is second. Makes me realize how much I hate the brains of the people I love. I mean good god some of them I would have never know how idiotic they were without facebook around.

Newgrounds is the shit. I've seen a community this close with meet-ups one other place and that was years ago in a certain forum. Pretty sure we really do have one of the best communities. We have meet-ups. We make real friends that we communicate with outside of Newgrounds. We send each other cards during holidays. Thanks to Luis and everyone else for making our sense of community so great. It's why this place is my "home" on the intarwebs and I wouldn't have it any other way. I love you nerds.

It's hard to say Facebook and Tumblr because they're such large sites, they don't have a singular "community" per say, they have factions, or groups of people on the site.
But, 9gag totally.

I'm not going to advertise by mentioning any of them by name, but there are far far worse website communities out there than any of the well-known sites you've mentioned. (If anything, most of the ones mentioned have "average" communities)

I'll just say the very worst of the worst tend to be very niche, very cliquish, and very elitist. They tend to have few active regulars with people leaving every day, with majority of regulars sucking up to one or a few people, with tons of sock-puppeting going on. Circle-jerking to the extreme, basically.

I don't think you could say Reddit has a good or bad community because it isn't one single community. You experience will vary depending on the subreddit, but then, you can just avoid the comment threads anyway and just look at the submissions to pass your time.

Well, I'm not limiting it to the choices in my first post in this thread.

Put some sites on your lists as to what is in your opinion, the worst web community.

Those sites I put are just examples and to set the mood, mostly.

1: YouTube
As if meeting eachother wasnt bad enough, here we have the closet autist, the "open minded" 'fedora,' the people without a voice, the people with TOO MUCH a voice, children, annoying women with large tits, intelligent women with large tits, tommyfromthebronx, and especially smosh. When you put all these people in one room together, everybody could be killed due to disagreement. And it's not because of Norton for once; it's because the video chat community just anted up the game on how creepy we really are online.

2: SomethingAwful
It took a small group of these people to ruin the madness combat forums. I don't know where your rich parents came from a decade ago but I really hope I can send your mother a package: you back into her uterus. I hate this community, apparently it's filled with WANNABE weeaboos and pedophiles - it's intoxicating. and by intoxicating I mean that this community makes me want to down a bottle full of ibuvproven and bleach to Mariah Carey. Pass.

3: Reddit
I would put Reddit as #2 but they need to know - they are just YouTube with less credentials, more neckbeards, and especially too many sub:re:dub:subreddits. It's a breakdown for liberal-minded retards that want to explore topics of bullshit debate and information. rarely are any reddits or redtags or whatever the fuck they're called that are worth really looking up.

4: Facebook user groups/fan pages
Heres another excellent alternative to retard supervision - Facebook 'like' pages. go ahead and go look up "R.A The Rugged Man" and "Floyd Mayweather Jr" and look at the AMAAAAZING LIST OF HAAAAATERS left and right. you think it's bullshit? try having a bunch of friends with sports teams liked. for extra credit, invite them to a group chat. SO MUCH FOR THAT STUPID OPTION

From what I know its bad enough on these forums when you have people like me or stupid kids just circumventing rules and posting wildly left and right. Bungie is a free-for-all slaphappy festival filled with 12 year olds, stoners, and probably old men one-upping eachother with any statement. I've actually never been on these forums which is rare, I will usually give your forum at least a shot. but these forums sound so uninviting it's like showing up to some random person's funeral with booze and actually expecting to party, which you probably do - i mean you ARE a newgrounder.

SomethingAwful's the best, poorguy. Just because you can't afford tenbux because you're too afraid of being banned by a community with STANDARDS doesn't mean it sucks. SomethingAwful is full of talented innovators who deserve respect, and I consider myself extremely lucky to have been comp'd in. Just check out The Dorkroom. Shit, a senator was an SA mod before he was killed in Benghazi. Also, SA doesn't generally like animu, so I dunno where the weaboob accusation comes in. So yeah, eat it, poorguy.

Twitter has one of the greatest awful communities in the Opie and Anthony Knuckleheads (formerly Pests). I'm proud to consider myself a part of such a powerful community, which destroys the facebook pages of shitty radio shows on a whim.

And yes, the community on SA is better than any other forum I've been on, pretty much. And I can say that from firsthand experience interacting and being part of that community, who were a lot nicer than I expected, and much more clever (and I had THAT bar set pretty high by retsu and chipcheezum), not "From what I've heard" or kneejerk reactions to my favorite autistic hugbox being "ruined" by a couple of maybe bad eggs, or maybe guys just having fun. It's all internet shit you seem to take too seriously and get angry at a little goodnatured ribbing or legit criticism. You DO realize how influential SA is, though, right?

Even though I don't use Reddit, they're not that bad. Each section of Reddit is too divided for you to be able to really judge them all collectively.

/b/ is absolute cancer, they're well up at the top as well. They might actually be a contender for the #1 spot. The rest of 4chan is actually really nice.

The commenters of YouTube?

Contending for the #1 spot as well. Everyone who posts comments seems to have an IQ lower than that of a potato.

As a guy who used to go to 9gag when i look back at that dark moment of my life i realise just how much i hated it.
The community is just 12-14 year old bitches who will have no problem stealing stuff from eachother just to get a few likes.

I really have a bone to pick with 9gag, i spent almost one full year uploading funny posts and the best i got was 16-18 likes i think, then on the last day i was on that site i saw a tree, A FUCKING TREE on the front page with a shit-ton of likes, from that day on i decided i would quit 9gag and never return.

The worst website community might be deviantART. Most of the website communities that you've put in don't seem to be as bad as the other websites that you didn't listed.
