This man was in fact an Hitler lookalike (who absolutely didn't look like Chaplin in anyway) and who took his place when Hitler was scheduled to make a speech.
OP's original clip might be fake, but these are from Eva Braun's home movies.
The fact that these people could smile and screw around really disillusioned them from what I believed they were. They might've been portrayed as cold-blooded war-starting child-killing murderers, but you can see from these clips that was, humorously, set to the "Friends" theme song, that they could still have fun and smile despite what would lie ahead them in the future.
Im sure he was at times, but he did evil things.

He did.
It still disillusions me that he and his cohorts could still smile and what would appear to be screw around like most folks do. I had always expected them to be cold, cruel and evil at all times. I viewed them as 2-dimensional. It just surprises me.
Huh.

Anyway, in the OP's video with that speech was Charlie Chaplin in a movie. If anyone bothered to read the description, it stated that the film was a satirical piece meant to mock the Axis powers. The movie was banned in Germany and in all places occupied by the Nazis, however Hitler had a copy of the film's prints for himself and he screened it twice. Historians, however did not capture or record Hitler's reaction to the film. Charlie Chaplin wondered how Hitler reacted to it.
Hitler was a good leader and a great manipulator. He had a few flaws, he might have caused harm to a few jews, but overall he was a pretty good guy.
Whats up with the stupid music in the video?

This part reminds me of Sid Caesar.

Yeah, his first film with sound.

Remember when he got fat and started wearing bowler hats?
This thread makes me cringe. Is OP so out of jokes or something? And do people really feel he need to point out the obvious?

Or did OP think of that and just wanted to create the right context to shove it in?
In any way, I can't really believe the silliness in this thread, coming from both sides, especially OP's.
It doesn't seem like he had any empathy. I think he may have been a sociopath.

From what I heard, it was actually more of the people who worked for him, like Joseph Goebbels, who really perpetuated the Holocaust. Of course, that doesn't change the fact that he, well, pretty much suggested it to happen.

I like hitlers image, but he lost from his own poor decisions.

A person is defined and shaped by its decisions and actions, and moral. Hitler might have had his moments of love and care, but as far as i can remember, he arranged and ignited the massacre of several people in horrible and untraditional ways.
And i guess, his death propably made the world a better place for Jews
Even people who didn't know anything about Charlie Chaplin could tell that isn't Hitler.

It's not like you hate him for eternity right? The man was a grade-A asshole. But he wasn't the worst. He's just too popular. Stalin on the other hands, you do ever hear people mention about him where he killed 2x people than Hitler?
Don't play the double standard card and pretend you are care giving to the world.

Of course i cant hate him for all eternity, the man is dead ;) I sure hated his actions.
Sure Stalin did bad stuff too but this topic is about Hitler, we we'rent supposed to talk about Stalin here and i just wanted to stay on-topic :) Double standards is a ridiculous blaim consider that you know nothing of me and my ethics.
Dont know where you were trying to go with this though
