Look at Facebook comments where anonymity isn't a given. I have never once seen somebody claiming a man should be raped (Well Chimos but whatever) it is almost exclusive to women, alongside the "stupid woman stay in the kitchen" kinda jokes. No equivalent for men really exist outside of the ughhhh men suck am i right ladies kind of things

Honestly, I find the drama in online feminism really unappealing. Everyone's so loud and angry aaaaaall the tiiiiiiiiime. I understand that that's just the ones that get heard, but I find it very hard to blame people who rant about blogs like these. If you put a lot of anger out, it is harder to find sympathy for you over internet stuff (even if you really do deserve and to clarify I do think the linked blogger doesn't deserve this).

I think this is less symptomatic of any wide spread societal misogyny or rape culture (whatever your beliefs on those things are) and more symptomatic of there being neck-bearded psychotics on the internet. I sympathise with the journalist for having to deal with this as part of her job, but to be honest I do think she's knowingly trying to make it seem indicative of something that it just isn't.

So yeah, sympathy for having to deal with psychotic neckbeards on the internet, but that's really all this is.

It would be nice if these kind of guys did into real trouble.
