How does it feel to be a nerd? Is there some sort of stereotype im supposed to follow to be in tune with nerdom? My friends call me a nerd just because I was talking about how Mario changed his outfit from red overalls to blue in newer games but I think they're just being assholes... Like what describes a nerd? Am I supposed to name all the pokemon and all of them in Japanese too? Am I supposed to be subscribed to dykgaming? Leik suriously?

I dunno. How could you say in all of ur pride and with all the planets aligning and shit that you could say you're a nerd? I mean... some nerds know more than some other nerds do and put other nerds to shame... so does that mean that person is not a nerd if he doesn't know that much as the other nerd? Is it about accumulating knowledge that makes you a nerd? Or is it about the passion that makes you a nerd?

I was implying that melting your brain with a barrage of video games and television is a poor way to spend the short time you have alive. I mean, there are worse things you could do, but it's still bad compared to the range of possibilities that exists.

What I'd like is for people to stand for something, believing in a cause, wanting to change the world and actually fucking doing something about it, even if it's just throwing a brick through the window of the GAP. That's leagues better than just playing video games and squandering your life on meaningless pixels.

Honestly trying to subscribe to being a 'nerd' and identifying with anyone who consistently calls themselves a nerd is just chugging loads of bullshit. You do what you like and have interests, but intoxicating yourself with the need to wear a label just to justify your deeper interests is off-putting.
