As long as Gilbert still owns the team, Lebron will never go back to Cleveland, and considering that they will gut the team again next year, why would he want to go through what he did when he was there before? Why go to the Eastern Conference version of the Clippers, when he can stay in Miami and still be in contention for the next 5 years or so? (Assuming that they don't blow it up of course.)

Speaking of opting out rumors, if Carmelo Anthony is going to join a contending team, Houston Rockets would be the best choice as they are about a year away from becoming a title threat. However, I would like to see him joining the Bulls so that with a healthy Rose (if he gets back) and Hinrich, this can really help them a lot, maybe even dethroning the Heat as the Eastern contenders for the title.

Wishful think, I know.

When he's healthy but when's the last time it is the case? I hope his body holds up long enough for him to be able to reach 20,000 points before he retires, but it will be tough.

Also for the Chris Bosh fantards...

What year did the Miami Heat fans get up and leave the game when the Heat came back and won?

They would have wanted more value in hindsight, but all the same

George Hill is a serviceable, solid guard
Kawhi Leonard was unproven, not even a lottery pick when he was selected
Besides they already had Danny Granger and Paul George manning the SF spots...it's unlikely that Kawhi would have flourished to the same level he has in SA

2005.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KiLO3QEmbGc

I remember that commercial and back then the Heat were somewhat more likable. Then again I actually kinda wanted Alonzo Mourning and Gary Payton to finally get their ring.

I think the Heat team from 2004 to 2008 were more tolerable that time even though it was also sort of a beginning of the team we grew to love to hate when they acquired Shaq from a trade. Dwayne Wade was already starting to prove himself to be a potential superstar that time so having him and Shaq in one of this last years of his prime did made the team a title threat for few years.

Note that both of the team that they beat before getting their revenge on them later on came from Texas...maybe the Rockets are next? They are not far from becoming a title threat themselves so why not?

George Hill have grown to be a disappointment as well, not what you would refer to as a sound investment if he doesn't turn things around sooner or later.

I know, same with Carmelo.

I wouldn't mind if the Bulls somehow signs one of those two guys, I mean you need to win after all. With that said, ESPN has an unhealthy obsession with Lebron since the Finals is all about the Heat losing than the Spurs winning.

The Spurs don't move the needle as much as much as someone like Lebron does, and in fact it has been this way since the Spurs won their second title in '03. My guess is that they will assume that the big 3 will stay in Miami and be in championship contention in the dismal Eastern Conference.

Good luck trying to convince a certain group of people of how the Eastern Conference have weakened, it would have taken away their leverage for the sake of an inevitable MJ comparison.

Seriously, you know how the media is and they find a way to do so with cherry picked stats and history as well.

Carmelo definitely would be a huge upgrade over Boozer.

If Rose can avoid the injuries, imagine the kind of offense the Bulls would have. Hell, it's clear that the Bulls won't get Kevin Love, the T-wolves will ask for a lot for the guy.

Like Rose, I'd prefer Love as well but in the end, just hope the Bulls will get either Carmelo or Lebron. I know getting Lebron will bring a legion of brain dead Lebrontards to the Bulls fan base but it's a small price to pay if one wants to win.

Did I ever tell you about the time I schooled Lebron James in Basketball? It was funny the way he kept crying about leg cramps when I was running past his ass to toss up a 2 pointer in the Hoop.

I think what's going down with the Heat is that the players are willing to take pay cuts to help the commissioners get better players or good picks from the draft. Chris Bosh should opt out as well. Udonis Haslem has said before that he would be willing to get paid less if he wishes to play for the Heat.

Wade is the player I'm fully expecting to stay with the Heat so there's a good chance he'll have a new agreement with them. The real question is whether Lebron will do so.

Being that Haslem and Bosh opted out, what you're saying could be what's really going on.

With that said, what are the odds that Wade will be able to reach 20,000 pints before his body finally gives in?

Anybody that watched the Finals knows that this already happened

Not yet since he's still holding on, it won't be long until he has to retire however. Whether he can get to 20,000 points before then, time will tell or he'll become similar to Tracy McGrady.

Guess Lebron decided that now that he has a ring, there's no need to worry as he won't have to worry about ending up having the same amount of rings as Karl Malone.

Being that it is the Knicks, I wouldn't bet on it.

The Knicks will need tons of luck going their way for that to happen and they hadn't gotten much of these since the 1970s. The 1990s team were unfortunate enough to keep on meeting MJ-led Bulls, not to mention blowing their best shot in 1994 against the Rockets.
