I don't know why I always feel this way when I go to a cemetery, but I always do. When I first get there I look at when people were born and when they died. I was doing that for awhile. I started to get this feeling I never really had before.
My mom pointed out one of the people, I guess it was her friend that died 19 years ago, on a road I was just on.
I don't know If I think it's sad, but I get this feeling I wish I could have been there to save them, or , meet them.
It's hard to explain. But damn, It makes me think.

I go to my uncles grave when I'm in dire emotional need, the funny thing is I never met him as he died 2 years before I was born. It's one of those things that you can't explain, its just something cathartic that is part of my healing process.

You're speaking openly to the community, so yes. Us.
Imagine that every time you make a thread, what you write in the opening post is what you're saying to a crowd of everybody that is currently browsing general, so right now imagine that you're at a podium saying what you wrote in your opening post to 26 people seated in front of you.

It's called empathy. Many people feel this way about certain things and people, even if they haven't met them before, it's what makes your conscience and unconscious mind feel sorry for these people or situations. Everyone feels this way about certain things; some feel empathy for those kids on feed the children commercials ("aw they look so sad, I wish I could help all of them"), some feel empathy for heroes who died ("All those firefighters who died in the 911 disaster deserve better; I wish I could help their families"), others feel empathy for people who are sad ("There was this girl who was crying hard on the bus today, but I couldn't do anything to help her because I didn't know what to say").
I wouldn't worry about it too much. It just means you are sensitive to other people, perhaps slightly too sensitive since they are dead, but it's a good thing that you feel this way. It means that you are a decent human who cares for his fellow man, and you will probably use this experience and feeling to help others along the way if and whenever you can.

The world would definitely be a better place if we could raise the dead. I'd get to finally put my L4D skillz to good use.

You mean your getting mauled to death by a hoard of zombies because L4D is just a video game and video game skills DO NOT transfer into real life "skillz"?

Cemeteries are awesome. I used to go on dates there back in the day. So many good memories.

I guess I feel curious about their people and what their lives were like. It's a reminder that one day you'll be dead and no one will give a fuck about you anymore.

I've never faced an actual zombie epidemic so I only have my poor L4D skillz to rely on.

This is the sad truth of life. We can all die at any time, while some or most may grieve for our loss, we're eventually going to be forgotten for good. Pretty sure no one here is going to give a fuck if I died anyway, and I'll be fine with that. I don't expect anyone to really, because I'll be dead. I won't exist anymore.
What a revelation... I'll try to give a fuck then, if someone alerts me when you pass away.
