This topic is a bit different from the others in that I am looking not only for interesting video game musical compositions, but I am also looking for music that would work well for any rock/metal covers.
It doesn't matter what game it's from as long as the song was made specifically for that game or series.
If anyone has any interesting contributions feel free to lay it on me.
Payday 2 has some great tracks but I don't know how well they would work for metal covers. Other than that, any Star Wars game has good music, specifically the KOTOR games.
There are very few that I ever want to actually have in my music collection.
Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 both have some pretty stellar songs (Open Your Heart, Theme of E-101Y, City Escape).
Metroid Prime 1 & 2 both sit just perfectly with me, both within the game and without it.
Madworld was an all rap soundtrack that actually wasn't bad.
The song that will be forever stuck in your head.
Splinter cell chaos theory had an amazing sound that captures the games atmosphere.
