The human brain runs on 20 watts per day. So, no. Not even close, or clever. Think more before you type.

You just helped to prove his post as truth.

Don't know if your sarcasm detector is broken or just plain dumb. Calm your tits.

Control? No. Exert influence upon? Absolutely.

Being feminine does not make me female, nor does it make me gay. In contrast, being masculine doesn't make me male either - being male is a physical characteristic of my body, not a definition of my identity. I identify as male because I've had this body my entire life, but I don't have any other reason to identify myself that way.

Well, you have all sorts of reasons that are the result of having that male body your entire life. But yes, ultimately, they source from that male body. I'm following so far...

People of both genders do things that are labeled more masculine or feminine, but those labels only exist because they are relevant to certain stereotypes. As a general rule, men have more testosterone, women have more oxytocin, and it does affect our behavior, but that doesn't mean that we have to fit into a 'model' personality in order to 'fit in' to a gender. What confuses me is why someone feels as if they are one gender or another, or why people try to conform to a stereotype about gender, whether it's to assert that they are the gender that they were born as or to assert that they have transitioned.

I don't think trans people are looking to 'fit in' to a gender quite in the way you describe. Some may, sure. But I think for the most part, the behavior arises from the need to explore successful alternatives to the body they're given that doesn't feel right to them. Like, if you're fat and you start working out because you aren't comfortable in your body, it's not because you're trying to 'fit in' to a svelte form-factor (although there could be elements of that motivation, sure), but rather because you don't feel comfortable as a fat person and so you endeavor to change that.

Trans is about much more than being one gender or the other, though. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transgender] puts a pretty vague summation about the trans experience, but you could do further research and learn more.

Why do trans people care enough to assert that they have an identity in the first place? I don't care if you're wearing a dress or pants - you were a useless gelatinous blob of water and carbon last year, and you're a useless gelatinous blob of water and carbon now.

No idea how to answer this question. Everybody has an identity.

Body is defined by gender, mind is defined by being.

Some people just like to assert their mindset in a more physical way.

Kind of like being in a crowd and having someone shout out that they are different, they are special. They already know who they are but why make a scene about it? Attention? Fetish? It aint clear.

What is clear is that they are starting stuff and causing a commotion. Maybe in time it will prove to be something to raise awareness about other things, or just someone who has issues.

Maybe people conform to other gender and stereotypes because they forget that mind has more control of who they are instead of what their body says. It is just a matter of will power to stop bodily urges, but don't outright ignore them.

Again what it all boils down to is attention whoring, fetish, or maybe even lost and still finding themselves. Or maybe even just for fun. So much confusion.

Whatever Gender we are there are always a million more things to us then just our dick or boobs. We have a lot of feelings and a lot of confusion. Past times had these confusions but a lot of people back then decided not to question this and just ended up ignoring it. With so much freedom its hard to ignore something right in front of you.

Then again, I think I lack overall experience and knowledge about this stuff so, eh. Right or wrong I'm going to learn somehow sometime.

Man I am a simpleton, heh.
