There definitely needs to be new users, everyone leaves or slows down at some point. I've been trying to post more lately but it's not nearly as fun when all the people you used to enjoy posting with don't come to the BBS anymore.

We need more posters or the BBS will die out in time. I see a lot of people who come here daily, but I see people vanishing every two weeks or so.

Yes, but too many people are busy with stupid shit like Facebook to use Newgrounds. Nobody seems to give a fuck about Internet forums anymore. I guess they'd rather talk to people they know personally instead of someone they will most likely never meet. I like this better. I like anonymity on the Internet.

I think it's more like current users should visit/post more on the BBS.

We have plenty of users that constantly post stuff, but never check the forums.

Or maybe there are better forums? Like reddit? Seriously, the only demographic of the NG userbase that has been sticking around really are the children. Young adults have been shifting away from these forums because of the lack of quality content and discussion here. Can you really blame them for wanting to talk to their own peer group?

Yes, we do and fast. I can feel NG dying out as we speak. This site as a whole needs more users.

Yes, and they are slowly leaving. We can't have serious and thoughtful discussion with children. We can't have that or professional (work related) discussion regarding our careers. The few of us that do are sitting at the table, while the rest of them are being ignored in the kids room. You can't tell me that this is not a symptom of the BBS's decline. Less quality posting due to less quality posters.

... it always amazes me how "older users" think they're more mature than the people who currently frequent the forum, but you only have to look at their recent post history to show they're still man-children.

Of course. Not a big change of it happening though.

The userbase is the forum's body and old users are its dying cells.
So, we pretty much should reject any new user and let the BBS decompose in peace.
