Stop Watching Porn Constantly

A few people I talk to have mentioned that they watch porn at least one or two times a day, and many say that they can't get off without either watching it or actually having sex. I'm not gonna say that porn is inherently unhealthy, but why watch it that often? You don't see a problem with it being very difficult or impossible to get off just using your imagination? People tend to get ultra-defensive at the suggestion that they should watch less, but I think it's generally true.

I used to do the same thing, and I didn't like how desensitized I was. Cumming just didn't feel good anymore. I had to spend a good 30 or so minutes or so finding a video that I could actually get off to. So I quit completely for a week, and just used my imagination. Immediately there was a big change in how satisfying fapping was. I still watch porn, but I keep it down to two or three times a week. I'd literally forgotten how good orgasms could feel, now the general "good feeling" I get afterwards lasts for hours when it used to be absent or faded quickly.

Now, maybe other people don't have this problem and I'm being too quick to extend it to other people but it works for me so I thought I'd share and there aren't enough threads about fapping lately.

I remember being like that as a teenager, I just got to the point that watching porn was no longer enjoyable. I still like to see hentai drawing on here every now and then though. But I no longer pleasure myself, I just don't see a point to it.

One thing that gets on my nerves are those guys who insist on showing you the collection of nudes and/or porn they have on their phone. If it's a problem for you then don't do it but don't think it works the same way for everyone because it doesn't.

I agree everything in moderation, but what I'm saying is different people have different limitations. So what is moderate also differs per person.

For you, once a week might be moderate. For another, thrice a day. For another, once every three months. Depends on physical aspects that differ from person to person.

So to place your personal level of moderation on someone else isn't any different from some priest telling everyone to abstain just because that's his level of moderation.

That's not how I meant it to come across though. I would summarize what I said as "if you feel as if you can longer pleasure yourself without using pornography, then give moderation a try. It will feel better." I mentioned that I now only watch porn a few times a week but it wasn't meant to be a strict numerical recommendation.

Fair enough. Keep in mind though that for some people, if they didn't relieve themselves enough, they'd be walking around with constant boners in public and I don't think anyone wants that.
