newgrounds the movie

i was thinking a movie based on newgrounds in the bain of heavy metal (the origanal not the crappy remake) might work out after all the heavy metal movie was based on a magazine by the same name which is like the magazine version of newgrounds. i even know a guy who owns a studio who can do it kinda cheap at a professional level, an hour and a half would cost 270000 which is actually cheap for professionals but thats including the use of there voice acters if you use the ones here it would likely cost half that (but i dont know for sure how much less it would cost i dident ask).

so what do you think it would also boost popularity of the site quite abit especialy if several are produced to prevent jumping the shark.

i thought so to i was thinking rather then a single super crazy nonsensical plot it could be like a group of mini movies for the more notable and better newgrounds characters strung togather like the first heavy metal. if done correctly this can be very charming but if done incorrectly can get super crappy super fast

possably i was thinking it focasing mostly on pico going through "the portal" (a rip in reality) going across many of the worlds with in to well go through the plot but thats just an idea perhaps tom would have a different one since its his site he should get to write it i think.

i agree but live action roleplay just isent something people invest in as its more of a hobby but movies people love to invest in those especially if they feel there getting something out of it. i mean just try counting all the stupid movie ideas that got funded over the years that shouldent have gotten a cent you cant can you at least not all by yourself. now thats why i think a newgrounds movie would work the right perks you can reach a funding goal in no time especially if someone good rights the story

Dick Figures managed to get a full length movie with the help of Kickstarter, so there's no reason we couldn't do the same! I think the longest flash cartoon we have on the entire website is this, as it took me 41 minutes to watch. If we could add just thirty minutes to it, we'd have our movie!

Dang, I just looked at the YouTube entry and it's only 40 minutes long. Then again, Super Mario Bros. Z Ep 7 has a running time of over an hour and it only took 40 minutes to see that.

I have been opposed to a literature portal for awhile now, but now that I look into this, that probably would be a good place to start a script for a movie like this. Heck, this would be a good way to really start ANY script. I guess it would be kind of redundant seeing as how it would just come to fruitation as an actual flash, but it's an idea.

it would be a major shame if this only became a flash if it became a full fledge movie it would make a ton of new ng fans and users but if it was only aa flash only existing ng users would get to see it and it wont make ng more populair like that
