Yes I know the PS4 is out, but in about a month or 2's time I can afford a new PS3 online, and I'm wondering if it is worth getting one.
Also, if it is worth it, should what's the suggested hard drive space? I'm more of a PC gamer but there are quite a few exclusives that I'd probably play quite a bit.
fuck... That last sentence wasn't very clear. Basically, I'd probably pick 5-10 games that really interest me, so what's the recommended hard drive space for that many games? 12GB? 40GB? 60GB? 120GB? Or more?
ugh, this post sucks, serves me right for doing this late at night on my phone.

If you're pc gamer, i imagine you have some spare hdd's just laying around... just get the smallest one and swap it out for a bigger spare.

Yes it is, more, better great games such as Red Dead, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank. I would recommend getting at least more than 200gb if you plan to buy a lot of games and/or DLC. Personally you shouldn't get a PS4 right now if you want to play lots of great games, just get a PS4 around 2016 or around then.

Yes, there are some truly excellent games on the PS3, I can't believe you'd ask this. The Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3 are ALL worth getting if you haven't owned one before.

As someone who only got a PS3 in february I'd say absolutely. Last of Us, Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted, Ni No Kuni, Motorstom, Ratchet & Clank, Sly, Valkyria... the list goes on.
If you've never owned an Xbox 360 either then there's no question, buy a PS3 right the fuck now. There's literally hundreds of games you missed out on this gen if you're only a PC gamer.

There's no point in getting a Wii. You see, the Wii U can do literally everything a Wii can. But I know what some people may think; "The Wii can play GameCube games!" Thing is, the GameCube has the Game Boy advance player and various other things the Wii can't do.
Therefore, a GameCube and a Wii U defeat the point of ever getting the Wii. It truly is one of the most useless consoles ever released now.

What if I don't want to pay £200 for a Wii U when I could spend £30 on a Wii?
Asshole.

The PS3 has a fantastic library. If you get it you should consider getting Plus too, it's $50 a year and right now you can get Payday 2, Bioshock Infinite, Borderlands 2, and Tomb Raider for free.

I know I said I was a PC gamer, but I do have consoles and I do play them.
Anyway, in conclusion, I'm getting one, just need to wait a month or 2.

I say go for it. As other people in the thread have said, there are plenty of exclusives that make it worth it.
Also for the size, if you want the one that lets you play PS1-3 games I suggest getting one of the non-slim models. Because when they introduced the slim ones they completely got rid of the ability to play PS2 games. Though you can still play PS1 games.

Ah okay. Well ya never know. It could come in handy if it breaks. I don't really have to worry about that though. I have all 3.
And my sister has a PS Vita that she traded a DSi XL to her bf for.
but thanks for letting me know.
No prob.
