I think I need some advice from anyone on texture. I don.t like it, I should probably scrap this piece.

Why, thank you.
I recently donated a piece of art to a local Art Supply store for them to showcase, they suggested I get myself some business cards so they could drum up some work for me. I didn't like the templates a printing website offered so I made my own BG.
For some reason the image is a lot darker on NG. Try this link http://th03.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/i/2014/306/7/1/business_card_background_by_lurkinmcclerkin-d8548rt.png
Last thing today.. I promise....... maybe.

Why does everything look so dark on the forums?
Because someone looks young doesn't mean they should be devoid of body parts. Editing the pic so that I can just put a general nudity rating on it. This is probably me over-reacting because the Adult section is mainly used for porn, and when someone comes across something like this they'd assume it was made with the intent of using as pornography. She isn't presented sexually, nor is she engaged in any sexual activities.
If I sound mad, I'm not.
Holidays are here and I'm not working as much during the week. I think i might take up streaming.

Whew!! 16 hours of work for this piece of crap! yay!
Personally, I felt this piece is a bit too dark. The mountains in the background and a good handful of details never existed to me until I adjusted the brightness a bit.
When you have light sources you want to make sure they feel as bright as dark as the shadows they create.
Everything seems to be drifting towards the bottom left corner, I adjusted a few things more to the right and up to try to counter that. This probably occurred because you increased the canvas size from your initial sketch.
To understand anything is to develop observational skills and patience. Stop stare and approach. Like a stalking lion sizing up a water buffalo. (Or in this case a brave little girl attempting to befriend a hulking menace.)

Thank you! I really underestimated the reviews on this new tablet when they said the brightness was a little bit off. I'm using the Monoprice 19 inch Interactive Pen Display I got yesterday. On my main monitor this looks like a huge improvement and on the pen display it looks way too bright. This is my fault and I should probably just duplicate my screens while I work If I can't fix the brightness.
Alright re-did the image but this time I saturated my blues a bit more.
Been out of the loop for a while, tiem to make a combak.

So my advice would be to ditch transparency and try to create those values with a hard brush with 100% opacity.
Thank you. I will attempt this with my new studies.
