After looking at this one some more I don't really like it. I got a free copy of Manga Studio 5 with my new Intuos, it's amazing for line work but painting is blech.
A sketch I will probably finish when I feel a little more confident in my line work

This next one is for a friend who has a little obsession with Doctor Who and Bioshock.
I was commissioned to draw someone's original Mighty Number character. I didn't think much of it myself, but the art director for the game liked the design.

I'm diggin' it too. What's the story behind this commission of yours? This got to the art director for Mighty or am I thinking of something very different? By any chance did you try any other robot designs or is it just the one? Seems like something that would be a bit of fun to do.

Yes the art director for Mighty No. 9. The story behind it was simple, he wanted a character that uses a rocket propelled shield and could hold either a player or villian character role. The pose was just the same generic hero pose you see in a billion different anime. I didn't draw a lot of robots in the past, I'm more of a traditional fantasy type of guy (swords, magic, siege weapons) but after this drawing I am trying my best to draw them a little more.
One of the main characters of a story I'm working on is a young girl. So yeah sorry... more sketches.
One of the last pieces of fan art I've done. Painting is not one of my strong points and characters without outlines drawn by me look ridiculous.
Because of family issues I have to make some money really fast and soon so I opened up emergency commissions. I feel like a crackwhore. Not advertising it here just posting the pic I used on Facebook and Deviantart. EETS A LIZARD MAN!
