PFFT even if they did, they don't have access to people's personal information. So even if someone were to say "I am a rapist who fucks little boys in the ass" What information would they have to catch this person?
Personal profiles aren't mandatory so I don't see how they could catch these people anyways.

In today's society it is illegal to beat up people who state that things degrading our society are right, therefore things like these occur.
Many people agree that when parent isn't affraid to punish his child for serious wrongs with occasional hit, it builds up the character for the kid and teaches it life. It is actually true in more cases than less, so It's good. Now knowing this I don't see why adults who behave like misguided children can't also get smacked in the face for their stupidity.
Even if you agree with me, the law says otherwise. Today we can have millions of discussions if pedophillia is right, which mentioned in many places might get a lot of supporters and voters (it's always easier to justify entertainment than humility). With voters and supporters we might get another serious plague like feminists, potheads and sexuality of medias and finally witness pedophillia legalised. Intervention of police for singular cases isn't going to help anything.

As questionable as the majority of the NG fanbase is, it's far from the most law-breaking or morally questionable sites out there. In addition, not every user is completely anonymous. There have been times where people (Sir Tom) who have been acted upon by the law, but they are far and few in between. So long as people don't cross a shit ton of lines or go on a serious, planned out rant about how you're going to endanger people, you have nothing to worry about.
