I like the idea of the sidekicks/henchmen being the wall/barrier. As for making making original superheroes, I had the idea that we could purposely make them like existing heroes and villains, but a version making fun of/mocking them. I think it would be quite comical. They would have similar joke names, and appearance etc. Might be fun. Thoughts?

Alright! Then the theme will be superheroes and villains, the three main types will be Metahumans, Psionics and Tacticians, and the henchmen/sidekicks will take the role of minions in the game. Btw Luwano the minons system is a default thing for now.

Everyone is fine with these ideas?

Also Spoonardo votes for making parodies of real superheroes and villains, i really like the idea, what about the rest? Any of you would prefer creating original superheroes? (altough have in mind that if we go with original superheroes not only it will be more difficult to create something really "original", but also we might not create something as appealing).
If we go with the parodies idea, we might as well create the whole game around comedy, including the "spell/trap" cards, the story mode, etc... This is a good idea, because if the gameplay itself isn't that interesting to some people, at least it will be funny xD

Shit, this could go either way; serious or funny. I think if we were going to do funny, we should add some animations to the characters, maybe animated on the cards. However, I think we shouldn't sacrifice good gameplay for comedic effect; we should find a healthy blend between the two.

You can't choose Batman. Batman let's you choose him if he wills it! FYI. Batman chose me. ;)

Mmmh, i thought about adding animation but maybe in the story conversations, like, the dialogue is at the bottom of the screen and the character that is talking to you is in the middle of the screen, like in persona 4 (the only example that comes to mind right now), and maybe when they change of emotion they do some animated movement. Maybe even adding short cutscenes of animation at some parts of the story, but i think that animating the cards would be a hell lot of work.

Hey, why not skim through the game DC universe online for character inspiration? The game was three class types for hero/villains, and they literally match up with the three types chosen here. My help with the creation designs, and cut down the time spent making all the new character and altered canon characters.

Crash = (Flash, can only stop running by hitting objects. Also, the only way to stop the enemy is by crashing onto them.)

Pink Arrow = (Green Arrow but shoots pink once instead. And his arrows aren't pointy type but those kid's toys once where it has a suction in the end. And it makes the enemy swoon over themselves and screams FABULOUS. Also PinkArrow's catchphrase is fabulous.)

Green FlashLight = (Can make objects of what the opposite he thinks. IDK. If he wants to create a large machine gun with his flashlight, it will come out as a small low-tech knife? You guis might be able to think of a wimpier super power than me.)

HydroMan = (Aqua Man but...IDK, he is pretty useless even as the original one. Maybe have the same powers as AquaMan and since he's so useless on land, that could be the joke?)

I might think more stuff next time.

We're doing parodies of each one of those superheroes and villains, don't do any original character D:
If you want Mr. freeze and profesor X, you can do them but remember to do parodies of them, not the actual characters.

Also these psionics are also available guys, you can pick them

Sorry for being the party pooper, but please keep in mind that the parodies still need to have some sort of actual power, don't they? Something that translates into an attack / an action in the game. SubparMan is a funny pun, but how does he fit into a battle? Of course if you have a clever explanation how someone's silly power is actually useful, that's not a problem anymore. I just wanted to bring this up to avoid trouble later on in the process.

Of course this will get you better results, due to competition. But it can also discourage users from joining if a drawing they worked on for a day, which would even be good enough for the collab is beaten by a better one. And it also takes a lot more time until every hero is done by someone. So, there are pros and cons... I'll follow the majority of course. More opinions?

First off, a commission of you for one person per card is already very generous and encouraging. That's not what I meant. I mean you have a lot of cards that need to be done. Besides heroes, the game needs sidekicks, equipement etc., so instead of three artists competing for one spot, they could finish three cards in the same time if they split up and each does a different hero / villain. I'd recommend to let people call dibs on whoever they wanna parody, one card at a time and when they are done and you say it's accepted, they can pick abother one that hasn't been called in the meantime.

EITHER WAY, I will accept whatever system you and the others agree on. I didn't want to ruin your plan for this. I just thought, calling dibs would work faster.
