When you think about it, rednecks and ghetto black people aren't all that different.They're both poor, loud and obnoxious, obsessed with guns and tattoos, drive loud, shitty vehicles, have their own shitty music genre, commit a lot of crime, and talk horribly. If TV networks keep going the direction they are, someday we might see a reality show where a family of either group have to live together and find this common ground.

I remember watching a Vice Doco in which a Memphis Crip was trying to organize all the local gangs to counter-protest a protest being held by the Ku Klx Klan. The climax looked to be very promising...

Except there wasn't one. None of the gang members (including the one who tried organizing them in the first place) even bothered to show up. The Klan members came through, had their little rally, and went back to the woods of Mississippi.

In case anyone was wondering, the Klan was protesting the name change of a Memphis Park. The park was named after some racist or some one and didn't want the park re-named after someone who was black.

"Ghetto black people" could refer to the "gangsta" stereotype that seems to pervade multiple parts of America, or it could just refer to the portion of black culture that resides in poor conditions and has developed a sub-culture around that fact. Either way, the blanket term OP is looking for is "the lower-class American people". Sure, the higher classes may consider them off-putting, but we're all people. Anyone could commit crimes, dress weirdly, or talk differently from others. Justin Bieber, for example, committed more crimes than any black person I know, and he's a world-class celebrity.

Basically, my point is "the concept of 'ghetto blacks' is irrelevant; the lower class will always be the lower class, and people will always be people".

to be fair, Memphis is hardly Crip territory lol. I can imagine the Memphis "crips" largely consisting of teenage drug dealers who worked for like one or two OGs in the area.
