I mainly get my ideas from either watching movies, walking about and taking pictures, sitting in coffee shops looking at people. (sounds weird but it works for me lol) and also playing games or even dreaming. It's amazing what ideas you can get when you write down what you've been dreaming about.

It took me a little while to get into the swing of coming up with good ideas for games, but once you get started it's hard to stop. It's really fun to take an idea that you have in your head and watch it become something that you have made.
