What Do You Think About "Gender" Neutral Parenting
For Those Who Aren't Familiar "Gender" Neutral Parenting Is A Hip New Trend Where Parents Let Their Toddler Boy Dress In Pink Tutus In Order To Make Sure He Doesn't Grow Up To Be A Proper Boy. Personally I Think This Is At Best A Parental Neglect & Possibly Outright Child Abuse . . . Children Shouldn't Be Used In The Social Rebellion Of Their Parents. Teach Your Kids How The World Works In Their Adolescence So They Can Decide For Themselves When They're Grown Up Whether They Want To Be Social Outcasts Or Not
Example Of The Trending Dangerous & Morally Deficit Child Abuse

Holy fuck how are you NOT permabanned yet? No wonder the population of the NG forums is a fraction of what it was several years ago.
You know what would be really neat? These things actually being noticeable.

Gender neutral parenting is 100% guaranteed to result in some form of gayness or mockery.

Why would supergandhi64 be permabanned? Even in the "good ole days"?

Timmy from Fairly Odd Parents grew up to be a good boy despite being surrounded by pink things and having a pink hat, which was bought for him because they were positive he would be a girl. But as for trying to force it like this, yea that's wrong. It is a good thing to try and prevent your child from getting negative behaviour along the lines of hateful and offensive etc. but as for their actual personality when it comes to being more manly or feminine, that is totally up to the child themselves with how their natural progression takes them. I myself always ended up playing with my cuddly toys alone rather than going outside and playing with others etc. as it was just what I kind of wanted to do and I ended up being more feminine in the end which I love.

I've always seen stories of parents not wanting to call their newborn~ baby he or she, and giving them a neutral name, because "what if they don't want to be their gender?"
It's... Silly.

Dressing a boy up as a girl isn't gender-"neutral" anyway. Neutral would be something that could be associated with neither gender. Just letting the semantics-nazi out, sorry.

You shouldn't push your kid either way, into doing things that are traditionally "male things" or into things that are traditionally "female things."

im permabanned poster faggotstomper58. i first started going on newgrounds when i was about 12. by 14 i got really obsessed with the concept of "edgy humor" and tried to channel it constantly, until my thought process got really bizarre and i would repeat things like "faggot balls" and "i love shitting inside fag assholes" in my head for hours, and i would get really paranoid, start seeing things in the corners of my eyes etc, basically prodromal schizophrenia. im now on antipsychotics. i always wondered what the kind of "edgy" style of newgrounds humor was all about; i think it's the unconscious leaking in to the conscious, what jungian theory considered to be the cause of schizophrenic and schizotypal syptoms. i would advise all people who "get" newgrounds to be careful because that likely means you have a predisposition to a mental illness. peace.

For example. Just look at us metalheads, all of us dress in black, regardless of gender. It seems to work. Additionally we could spontaneously go to a funeral at any time. So why not?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating gender neutrality. I was just trying to clarify what it actually means.

I think more parents should allow their children to pick and choose what clothes/toys they want even if the gender they are targeted for is different to what they were actually born as.
The problem with gender neutral parents is that they actually create gender problems.
I remember a few years ago there was a family who already had a son and then the wife got pregnant again,, when the second child was born she was like "Well, no one is going to know the childs sex, I shall raise them neutral". And the major glaring problem is that the child DOES have a sex. And may have no problem being that sex and I strongly believe that encouraging a child to be gender neutral is just asking for problems further down the line. What if the child is a boy and feels confusion because his brother is treated as a boy and yet he is made too wear dressed on occasion and have pink toys when he'd rather have blue ones. What if she's a girl and gets told that she can't have a certain toy she likes because of the gender stereotype attached to it, how is a child to understand that.
Basically gender neutral parents are actually selfish. If your parent is born a certain sex (which 99.9% of the time they are) then you should honour that because that is who that child is. However if you do notice that your son wants to wear skirts and your daughter wants play football then let them. Always let your child be happy, thats the only goal any parent should be aiming for.

Interesting . . . It's Almost As If I've Read Something Very Similar To This Somewhere Else. That Can't Be It Of Course. You Wouldn't Just Copy & Paste Something From Another Web Forum Swap Some Words Then Post It Here. You're Not That Kind Of A Person. I Believe You Came Up With This Of Your Own Volition. Most Likely It's Just An Odd Coincidence That This Story Is So Similar To Another Which I've Heard Before. The Weird Thing Is You Still Don't Get New Grounds

one of the comments on that page summed it up nicely so I'll just repost it here
"Wow these comments are horrible. I know this is the internet but this is some B-board shit on the site-that-should-not-be-named. I really hope in all honesty these thumbs up and these horrible comments are just trolling comments.
All the parents did here is provide an environment where the boy isn't gonna feel like dog-shit for liking the color pink, liking barbies, or doing/wearing something most parents would condemn their kids for trying.
The only thing in question is sort of forcing their kid to wear it but that's a gray area because it feels like the kid doesn't have a choice but at the same time the parents might feel like the kid isn't fully equipped yet to make an unbiased decision just yet (like the idea is give him EVERYTHING to try on so when he does learn to talk he can he has complete and equal experience for both spectrums to freely choose what to wear as opposed to being taught that pants are > dresses by his peers/tv).
It still feels wrong to hear parents saying "Kyle! Don't wear pink! Only girls like that color!" The ratings are proof that this world still has a long way to be truly "accepting."
I think a lot of you are mixing up GENDER and SEX. The parents didn't add a vagina to his genitalia, they're just saying "you can wear a dress if you want when you're older, we don't give a shit, we'll love you either way.""

I agree entirely. If anything that's gender-biased.
To be truly gender-neutral only dress the child in gender-neutral clothing, only give the child gender-neutral toys and so forth. I don't think it'd be too difficult actually considering there are gender-neutral clothes (males and females both wear jeans pretty frequently) and gender-neutral toys (lincoln logs, legos, slinky, etc... aren't gender-specific).
