If they ever actually make a second movie, they should make a third one and call it "Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice.?

No word on whether he'll go Hawaiian. Seriously would any of us not watch him go Hawaiian?

I think OP might be talking about the BJ cartoon.
I loved them both.

I watched this movie a bunch of times, yet I remember almost nothing about it. Might watch it later if it's on netflix or I can find the DVD.

The movie never explains it at all.
I always wondered this too.
I guess they just live in a plane of existence where they feed on lost souls that wander out into their domain.
Or it could have something to do with Dune. Ya never know.

I always thought us not knowing was the whole point. These are the one thing that Beetlejuice fears. That's all they're supposed to be, the boogie man's boogie man.

Beetlejuice said in the movie that the place where the sandworms live is called Saturn. Like the planet?

Maybe it is! Maybe when people die they go to another plane of existence that happens to be on the planet Saturn.
You never know.....

I'll believe it when it when they actually start filming.
Seriously, this movie has been "on it's way" for more than a decade.

I like how Beetlejuice is "bad" in the movie but "good" in the cartoon. Sort of like how Slimer is "bad" in the Ghostbusters movies but "good" in the Ghostbusters cartoons based off those movies.

Fingers crossed. Honestly, I do hope they go with the gone Hawaiian idea. As a direct sequel it would have been a disaster but almost 30 years later , tongue firmly in cheek and made by people who care enough to take the absurd seriously it could be hilarious.

Loved both the movie and the cartoon (which luckily you can find on Youtube).

Watched it awhile ago, some bits scared me shitless, like the one scene I remember where they open the closet and the one lady's in there decapitated with blood and stuff, but it was a pretty good movie.
