3.80 / 5.00 4,200 ViewsGraduation is a scary thing! Looking to expand my portfolio and starting off with a couple of animations that I would like some feedback on! You can simply go to my page here on new grounds or check me out on my youtube channel: youtube.com/ikonyami.
Looking for positive feedback / constructive criticism! Even, a "cool!" (with an exclamation point of course) can be a nice morale booster. Haha so check me out when you have a sec!
Also, I'm a 3D artist so if anyone has any cool concept art they could link me to or would like to see done / rendered out by me, post here as well!
Thanks!
Nice models, the animation was pretty stiff in many places but you'll get better at that :). In the short term I would say try to avoid using the explode command so often, or at least use it with custom particles. Shattered models have a kind of... Amateurish look to them in most circumstances.
Still cool though, keep on keepin' on.
I just decided that I need a signature.

Haha you're absolutely right about the exploding thing haha I was just telling myself that the other day "no more odd polygon explosions" haha.
And you're also right about the animation. I'm ore of a modeler than an animator but I like to dabble in all parts so I have a good understanding. The animation definitely needs some work for sure. Some parts I thought were better than others however. (we are talking about Wake Part 2 here aren't we?)
But thanks for watching AND the feedback!
Yeah, I was talking about Wake Part 2. That is a good mentality - I tell aspiring game artists all the time that they need to understand the entire workflow if they ever want to be truly proficient.
