What are some phrases that you hate because they're fucking stupid and make no sense? I'll use "never look a gift horse in the mouth". Seriously, the fuck is that even supposed to mean? To help, here's a list of plenty of these stupid things to choose from.

The actual phrase is "I couldn't care less" as per an English phrase, but the Americans for some reason changed it to "could" when saying you "could care less" literally means you do care for the topic in question as you clearly have some care about it if you are able to care less about it than you currently do.

It is still only correct if it's "I couldn't care less" People are dumb as hell and don't even understand what they are saying means so instead they say "I could care less". They make all kinds of dumb grammatical errors and it pisses me off. The day they are right I might as well an hero.

Maybe they really, really, really don't care, but it's not the absolute least amount they could care, so they could care less, just not by that much more

To look a gift horse in the mouth means to critique a gift. The saying comes from back in the day when things like horses were used as wedding gifts or a dowry (kind of like a wedding exchange...)

To look a horse in the mouth means to get an estimate on the age of the horse by looking at the wear on the teeth which can be an insult to the gift giver.

Quite simply, it isn't that there are stupid proverbs (Don't use the word retarded as it generally means to slow and makes you look like a lout.) but there is ignorance as to what things mean.

Why do people say 'don't like' about something that is clearly hated? It's like "Hey, the internet doesn't like Justin Beiber." Well that's retarded, they clearly hate him (for some reason) and you're just using the watered down meaningless phrase because anything else is too difficult for you to hear!

When somebody 'doesn't like' something, it only means this.
