Coming from a backward country like Russia, with their long history of discrimination going back to the days of the Romanovs of Tsarist Russia, and the Soviet Era in general, it's not a surprise that something like this would happen. I'll bet that they'll have a hard time covering this up by the time The Winter Olympics rolls around, especially with the gay athletes and those who are actively protesting the law.

Does being gay add any value to society ? Last I checked you can't procreate with the same sex. Freedom of choice as long as it does not hurt or interfere with others is fine but I fail to see the value in same sex relationships.

Respect my opinion on gay's and I will respect yours so long as it does not interfere or hurt others. Education, Discipline, Knowledge and self respect will make sure that straight people do not accidentally procreate. Babies are meant to be raised by tere biological parents not some couple in a questionable quasi relationship. If a man and women in a monogamistic relationship do not want to have kids then they should not be fucking then should they.

Once again Education, Discipline, Knowledge and self respect will make sure that straight people do not accidentally procreate under the wrong circumstances. Drug addicts are not fit parents and should not be procreating to begin with. That is the common definition and usage of the word, but it is somewhat of a misnomer when you look at the literal meaning of the word. The suffix "-phobia", from the Greek word "phobos", translates to intense fear or terror of something. Nowhere does the word imply hatred, only fear. In a way, it's a euphemistic expression that doesn't sound as bad as what it describes really is, like "enhanced interrogation" for torture.
