I've been trying too look around the web for any free 2d animation software. Ive come across pencil, synfig, pap4, vectorian giotto and they all have the same problem: no sound. at least not while animating. Are there any free 2d animation programs that has sound included into it for lip syncing and stuff or is there another way to add sound conveniently? Thanks

Livesiwf 2.2 has sound and is free. I believe the site shut down but a simple Google search should help you find it.

Seems like you've found a lot more than the ones mentioned on this page, but most of the paid programs offer free trials too, might be worth checking out. Flash for example is great for all purposes.
