I don't think he did shit, nobody has a revelation 20 years after the fact, I think its a sad ploy and Mia Farrow is lapping it up. Take it from a guy who's witnessed it, a scorned lover who has full custody over a child can completely warp that child's opinion of their other parent. It's called the power of suggestion and its incredibly easy to get children to believe whatever you want of some one. rosemary's baby is beautifully directed and near-perfectly acted psychological horror masterpiece but the ending doesn't really hold up today

I spent awhile trying to word that in a way that wasn't retarded, and it didn't work. Let me try that again.

I think he totally fucked her, but something that nobody can prove or disprove from 20 years ago doesn't nullify a lifetime of cinematic, literary, and musical achievement. I obviously don't support pedophiles because nothing forces them to act on their urges, but it upsets me a bit that Woody Allen's reputation is taking yet another hit for something that he may or may not have done, and if he did do it, it was because he was mentally unwell and needed help. Going as far as to touch a child sexually is a horrible thing, but pedophilia is an illness of the mind that has a very finite amount of support and I think it's understandable that a person could lose control over themselves.

On another note, this journalist raises an interesting theory that Mia Farrow planted the idea of the molestation in her young daughter's head. Makes some amount of sense, considering the molestation claims came immediately after Allen started dating Soon-Yi Previn.

Only movie of his I've seen was "Annie Hall" so I don't know if some of his films may have been sexist enough to lead to that.
