Obviously, Vegas believed that Denver would win in a close game, looks like they lost a lot of money on that, though not as much as when the Seahawks beat the Saints a couple of years ago when they had a losing record.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

That playoff game in a way can be considered as the turning point for the revival of the Seahawks. While they didn't make the playoffs the next season but their secondaries would continue to develop, especially when one of the founding members of "Legion of Boom" whom the Eagles missed the chance to draft (they chose Graham when everyone thought they would pick Thomas).
Then you have the "Fail Mary" game which gave the Seahawks a fluke win but they would roll and I kinda figure that they could be the dark horse to win it all that year.
Turns out the Falcons wouldn't choke just yet so they have to wait a year later and you know the rest. I really hope that once Thomas hits free agency, the Giants would try to sign him.

I did some research just now and found out that historically, in the 7 superbowl games in which one team had the #1 offense and the other team the #1 defense, the one with the #1 defense won the overwhelming majority of the time.
It's surprising that no one seemed to have taken that into account when betting on the Broncos.

And the fact that record setting offense generally fails, I mean the last passing yards leading QB to lead the team to a championship win was Johnny Unitas and that was 1959.
It's like the passing yards title is jinxed.
Good thing Brees stole it from Peyton in 2006.

Tebow would have lead the Broncos to a first round loss.
Face it, Tebow sucked.
He does have a physical talent but he's also a crappy QB.

As stated before, Seahawks D was thirsty for a win tonight and deserve the majority of the praise.
Yes, Wilson did a good job.
Yes, the Defense is what won this game.
Big ups to the big guys on the D-line for bringing that constant pressure on Peyton.
Meanwhile, for all those that bet Seattle:
you know to tell you the truth I'm so out of touch with sports that I don't really know who's and the way the game is played just lost out of touch a some time ago, yeah an exciting game nonetheless.

Shit. Has there been a lopsided win like that in the Super Bowl before?

The Broncos actually got their butts kicked by the San Francisco 49ers at Super Bowl XXIV in 1990 by a score of 55-10 which is a 45 point difference. Lol.

I know, I mentioned this throughout the thread dozens of times and no one seem to listen. What happened to the Broncos should bring some attention now.
I was hoping Peyton would overcome this but now, I'm starting to think that it's a good thing Brees stole the passing yards title from him in 2006, otherwise that AFC game could have remain a blowout.

Well, it seems like every Broncos Super Bowl loss ends up becoming a blowout, the closest one was the the first one against the Cowboys in the 70's. The worst thing about it is that they have the most SB losses now, pretty much giving Bills and Vikings fans a little sigh of relief, until they realize that they have no rings themselves.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

In terms of publicity and entertainment? Why not? He'll do fine there, because by the end if the day, he's essentially a poor white man's Vince Young (who himself is a poor man's Michael Vick).

That's usually Boston's job to riot.

But seriously, the Broncos defeated the Falcons in 1999 so the picture would have been accurate had it been made before their SB runs where they won the whole damn thing.

That's really overused.
I know it's a joke post but still, I really doubt people would go and photograph themselves with the money. I mean, even if she does that, you would say she took it from her bank account to make it look like she won the bet. When it comes tot he internet, it's easy to move the goalpost.

Talk about jumping the gun, I wonder how he's feeling now? Hopefully not too bad but still, that's pretty dumb when it comes to what some people would do as sports fans.

Damn I miss Vince Young. A guy who's 31-19 as a starter shouldn't be wasted like that.

There has been a decent number of quarterbacks that have winning records are not in the league now, a lot of is due to the fact that most of them are overachievers and/or were with good coaches and systems. In Vince's case, he was accused of being coddled and soft in the face of criticism, though there was little evidence of that truly happening beyond the fake suicide attempt. It didn't help that he was on a team that was never really set up to succeed and basically asked him to do everything for them, it's no wonder why Young fell apart.
One year, they went 0-6 to start out, but when Vince took the QB job from Collins, he went 8-2 and barely missed the playoffs, only to cast him aside for Jake Locker, who was never a winner in college, and he's just as bad in the pros as well, and I thought that only the Browns would pick a 3rd tier QB with a high pick.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.
