Flash CS6 Question 2014-01-30 20:22:24 Reply

Hey, I'm new here, and I'm trying to make my first animation. :-)
I have stumbled into a problem, though, and I need a bit of help with Adobe Flash CS6.

I have created the separate movable parts of my character (arms, legs etc), and converted them to Graphic Symbols.
Then I put them together and made the whole character another Graphic Symbol.
I made the whole character hover around with Classic Tween inside my scene and it works nicely.
BUT! Now every time I try to make a Classic Tween inside my character Symbol, it does not work at all!
For example, if I want to move the arm, I make the Keyframes, place them where I want them to be, I create the Classic Tween... But it does nothing! Instead, if I try to Classic Tween a movement that way, the next movement just starts sinking down for some reason.

I hope I'm explaining it right. I'm trying to figure it out for two hours and my mind has started going numb, so I apologize if I'm not clear enough.

Thank you in advance. :-)

Hmmm.. I'm thinking it might be a layering problem.

Are all of the movable limbs on separate layers within the symbol? Because if you have heaps of symbols on the one layer and try to tween them in different directions, it won't work.

Oh, and welcome to Newgrounds :)

Oh my Goodness, it was so simple!

Thank you so much for the help. I would have never figured it out by myself. :-)
