List a bunch of stuff you think is good. I just plain don't like the entire way rap or hip hop is musically structured. As I said earlier, it's classified in a genre for a reason; it shares the musical qualities of all the other stuff like it, and rap is one of the few genres that I can't stand. Because of genres, I know very confidently that I can listen to a relatively small amount of a genre, and not like it.

In your reply, you state how you feel about the genre.
You state it as YOUR OPINION.
That's perfectly fine that you don't like rap, and I'm perfectly fine with how you feel about the genre.

However, when you're saying stuff like the following:
"Tox, you of all people would know how dumb and musically disgusting rap is"
"You can like it all you want, that doesn't change the fact that in most cases, it's not very musical at all."
"No offense to you, you're a legitimately good guy and I've never had anything against you, but rap has always been generally bad. Just because a person recites a poem to a backbeat, sometimes with a melody and some other stuff going on, and the poem happens to be true, doesn't make it good music. It might make it a great representative art, but as far as music goes, it's still pretty shitty."

...and so on and so forth.
The problem with your quoted statements is that you state them AS FACT. Which is wrong. Did you mean to leave out "In my opinion", or is it just implied that the above statements are just your opinion and only that?

Anyone who dismisses an entire genre on principle is an idiot. Every genre including your favourite will have great and poor artists.
