a traditional medicine practitioner may deny some of his medicines do not work at all, even though there are plenty of researches that suggest the contrary. he has been taught to use the same medicines on his patients and has been using them for a long time. he is simply not ready to accept the reality that the medicines that he trusts are just placebo. also if he admits his medicines do not work, he may lose a substantial part of his income.
