newgrounds mobile games?

don't you think Newgrounds needs like a mobile mode.. so that people can upload mobile games.
I'm not sure if it works that way..

There's not a whole load of reason why it couldn't work that way.

They could perhaps do an app store in a similar way to how amazon do it. kind of like a seperate app store but the apps can be side loaded like is possible with some existing android apps

I'm not sure how this would work with iOS devices, I'm sure I've heard there's a way to do it, which is what some publishers are doing at the moment to test delivery of their updates.

(Just want to know why you think NG couldn't have an app portal. I think independent game designers would try to make something app based rather than a Flash game, so I would have thought an app portal was how NG would go with the flow of the times).

I feel they wouldn't happen for awhile. I just feel it is something we wouldn't get like a 3rd in a Valve series. I'm totally down with an app portal but I don't see it happening any time soon.

A separate portal just for apps? Plenty of submitted games are already optimized for such devices, I'd rather the mobile-friendly option under each upload could be used to collect all those games in one special section and allow users to install them as if they were apps, if they like, or just play them without installing, it could be integrated with some form of digital sales feature to allow for a full version in addition to the free one. To completely separate those games from the rest of the submissions feels like a way to really complicate content.

This is missing the point I was addressing to atlas. I honestly don't care whether the portals were tied together or not.

Well, there are some mobile friendly games. There was the touch jam and stuff.
