Yupp, user experience does seem to have sped up a bit, just those DNS errors getting in the way every once in a while. Hope propagation doesn't take too long. Thanks for the insight; info, and thanks Bren! You the man man!
Now would be a good time to mention that our 2014 Supporter Upgrade is available, so you can browse NG with minimal ads and see the pages load even faster!
Woot, will get it soon and complete the trilogy!

Oh whoops, now I see what you were talking about in your blog comment... Sorry, that's fixed.
Now that you've sped things up, that should free up some of your time.
now go make me a sandwich bitch! >:(
don't go stingy on the filling either
I actually notice it runs more smoothly now, so that's nice.
I haven't gotten any server errors so far either. By the time I will upload something new, I'm sure the site will be already fully operative.
I can't access Newgrounds on my phone except on this browser I have called Puffin. It's super fast on that, but nothing on Chrome/Safari.
Definitely better then ever! I honestly thought it was just me, but now it's running like lightning :D
Sadly, this speed might be short lived - let's just hope Net Neutrality gets appealed to the Supreme Court which won't strike it down. It's a lot harder to bribe them, right?
It's the only way out!

I got it earlier, seemed to have gone through the whole of 2013 without it.

OK! what the hell is happening??why am i the only one experiencing the opposite effect?
i've NEVER been so SLOW in this freaking site!
i tried to start 5 games or so and nothing load!
for example, this one:
This is the 2nd collection to test how much you know about art?
slowly got the loading bar to one fourth, and since, it stopped!
its not my computer, i checked on youtube and armorgame, and it works fine!
does anyone has any bright idea, please?
Verizon FIOS users will hopefully notice the largest imrpovement. I pay for a 75/25mbps connection and as we get later into the day (EST) the site would slow down to a crawl for me. I would literally watch images in the art portal load in like I was back on a 14.4k modem. Did anyone else experience this as we went into the evening? If so, how is it now?

As a result, download speeds were slowing to a crawl during peak hours. The problem was getting worse and worse, with NG running poorly most of the time for Verizon users.
For a long time I thought that my computer was taking a bit of a dive. I've had to open a few videos at once to give them a chance to load while I watched another - but not today. Everything loaded lightning fast, and as soon as I saw this forum post at the top of the home page, it instantly dawned on me. For me at least, the speed is much faster. Depending on the size of the file we're talking 3 - 10 times faster. Thanks Tom and Brendon! It's a relief to see it's not just me.
And a special thanks to you Tom for helping me out with the store credit/payment problem back in October/November, I'll be picking up 2 upgrades this year!
It was starting to feel like 2002 instead of 2014 with my FIOS internet, but as of now things are fast as ever. The only issue is the cache not updating.
i suppose it is running more smoothly, though i have not had a major issue beforehand. aside from the occasional DNS error notice, things are running great here!
SEE THAT KEY LEFT OF A? PRESS IT.
Now that I see this post I can see the boost Tom. Mostly in the forums. I'm sure I'll notice it more as time passes. Cheers buddy!
This site still feels the same. I did not notice any changes in the speed.
I really don't know http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMFKJbq8jFI&feature=youtu.be&t=47s
I still have problems loading NG. I remember emailing Tim but we didn't get very far and my ISP isn't very helpful :(

I'm on Verizon, and while certain files flew like shit through a goose yesterday, the stuff from the Art Portal ran about the same... now, runs nice and fast! You should've tried overclocking those modem cards, back in the day...
This is a big win for Newgrounds, thanks to the staff for all the hard work! As Tom says, it might take another few hours for the planet to adjust to the change of service :)

What type of problems? Be specific. :)
I looked up your IP, and honestly, to your location I would have expected much better performance. You should be pulling cached content from a local server vs. coming across to the US.

That's good to hear. It was a night and day change for us too - like when I got my first cable modem after using dial-up for years.
The site should get even faster over the next few days as well.

I just became a supporter ontop of the performance update you guys have made and what I'm noticing is that instead of the page coming up instantly and then loading the assets over the course of a couple seconds; I'll click on a new page (ie. my userpage) and then wait about 5 seconds and the whole page comes up at once.
