How to beat Metal Gear Rising?

Horrible controls, I'm at the final boss and he throws this big rock like thing at me and I have no idea how to cut through the rock thanks to horrible controls in this game. It's a good game, but the controls make the difficulty level higher than the game should be.

Just look up a walkthrough on Youtube. Also, I would think you would be used to the controls by now and know how to use them if you're fighting the final boss.

No, because I got lucky in some of the other bosses. Plus the other bosses didn't have this thing. I move the analog sticks and it won't move the way I want it too. I'm using an xbox 360 controller.

Perhaps you need a new controller? I've never played MGR before, so I don't know how the controls are.

Don't blame the controls, I've played the game through on the hardest difficulty and completed it.

But you can just dodge slide under neath it, ignore the slow motion prompt thing

If its not the controls, then what am I doing wrong? I'm not suppose to move the analog sticks a certain way to cut through it?

Also, I paid closely attention to the turtiorial at the beginning of the game and I didn't see them teach me how to do this.

You had to do this precision cutting thing before in the battle against Sundowner (the cyborg with the six explosive armor plates).

You slice through the weak points. Pretty simple.

Yeah, I played that part like 10-16 different times until I got past it. Sometimes the precision cutting didn't work properly. I don't understand what buttons or which way to move the analog stick. They never showed you in the game how to do it exactly and what buttons to press.
