Why wait for people to find potential in something you are not fully investing in? Why not take this project and start from scrap? The problem isn't if it is interesting. I think it is interesting.
So if someone chooses to not have a background at all what is there?? Set some rules man! Some standards. Commit to this 100% not slap a bunch of turds together. If you do that then maybe other more skilled people will join. Now i am not saying i am the best animator but i would love to join this collab if it were being taken seriously. Raise the bar and watch some of these people who already said they want to join, their parts get better and improve. Yeah it might take longer then 3 months but the wait and effort would be WELL worth it! Creative WELL DONE movies won't go unnoticed. Trust me.
Maybe come up with a good looking cliff that everyone has to use to have some continuity. Take a look on my page at the Mario castle collab i took part in. It uses the same background in every persons scene. That give the movie a nicer flow i think.
To be honest i wasn't even 100% sure what this collab was about until i looked at some of the movies people made. You made no real actual guideline or rule about the theme of this collab. Are we supposed to make a clip of ANY guy trying to cross a cliff?
I am REALLY not trying to come off as some pretentious know it all jerk here. I really do like the idea of this collab (if it is random ways to cross a cliff)!! I think there is so much potential in this idea if thats the case. But its going to waste if you are not fully invested in it. I would love to help you in anyway i can if you truly want to take this thing serious. Let me know man and good luck with what ever you decide.
