I decided to throw my 2 cents on the whole cloud gaming mess. If you really think about it, this is the kind of thing that's going to go the way of the virtual boy. Streaming games off your internet connection simply put isn't a good idea now and in the future since theirs no real ownership of what you buy using that method. Also IF you'd like to debate me about the topic, you can do so in the comments or pm me your skype and we can do so that way.

I pretty much agree that cloud gaming is not a good idea, and also not a comfortable way to play games or at least thats what I think.

And this is why I love nintendo. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/cloud-gaming-not-the-future-says-nintendo/1100-6403414/

Of course Nintendo would say something like that, and while I do agree that cloud gaming will not work, Nintendo seems to be pretty chesty considering that they're behind both Sony and Microsoft as of now.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

If Microsoft and Sony support cloud gaming as the future, and considering almost everyone hates cloud gaming who knows, Nintendo might be the leader for once.

This is simply common sense on nintendos part.

Highly doubt that, because you know that Sony and Microsoft are going to respond when there there is enough fan pressure. Plus, Nintendo is basically going back to the same well that they did with the Wii, but that's not going to work twice, and it looks like they're breaking their promise of getting major 3rd party support.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.
Did any consumer ever actually think Cloud Gaming was going to catch on?

I refuse to let cloud gaming catch on andthis is why.
I got Tom to make a sig, bow down to me.
It may find a niche, but I can't see myself playing games this way. I'd constantly think about how my whole session could go to waste if the connection / cloud dies.
*Ignores video*
Cloud gaming could be a thing if games are made to seamlessly transition from single player to multiplayer in real time.
Plus we already have Steam and Origin saving our games to the cloud.
It won't catch on cloud gaming is shit
Many years ago there were Timesharing systems where you basically rented use of those systems.
Next came the era of the personal computer, where you typically bought software once and could use it forever.
Now with cloud computing we are back to the software-as-a-service model where you basically rent use.
I'm not saying it's good and I don't particularly like it, but it very well could become the standard again as more and more companies move to that business model.
Cloud Gaming could very easily catch on as a subscription based service, rather than buying a game and playing it from the cloud, you say there are no benefits to cloud gaming, I disagree.
You can play any game you have access to at max settings, 1080+ and 60FPS and only have to invest in a crumby computer
Save on hard drive space
No download or install times
Instant access to huge library of games
illicit makes a damn good signature.

Which totally works if you're the kind of person that always sells your games back for a fraction of the cost, right after you finish playing it. While I agree that there would be benefits to cloud gaming, I would also say that they wouldn't suit my personal preferences.
I dunno, Steam is doing pretty well.

I don't see how "and only have to invest in a crumby computer" is true at all. You still have to meet at least whatever minimum specs are, plus more than that if you want a better experience.
"No download time" -- not seeing how that's true at all either. You'd still have loading times between levels or areas at least.
There's pros and cons to it.
Young people will eat up anything that is new.
Pretty soon they'll be playing Call of Duty through the cloud on their tablets!
I don't really see it that much of a problem, hasn't Steam already used cloud gaming for a while? It's a pretty good idea as a backup for when your memory card/hdd goes kaput.

Cloud gaming is just their way of trying to prevent reselling of games once people are done them.
Thing is many people buy games so they can resell them later when they are done and get a little money back for their next game.
I don't even touch games that aren't MMOs that demand an internet connection to play. Fuck... that... noise.
