Most of the fanbase is full of kids and teens, he managed to get many views to YouTube so they decided to promote him, now with the load of viewers he has all he needs is to make a random gameplay video with minimal editing, beacause now all those subscribers will watch regardless

probably should feel bad for the fact that Pewdiepie was one of the few only voices he hears from a actual human besides the music he listens to.
