Yoshi's New Island

Should have stayed with the hand drawn sprites ,having yoshi's island with 2.5d is kind of ugly.

I don't like anything about this game so far, which is pretty sad since I regard Yoshi's Island as one of the most well-crafted platformers ever made.

It's odd that they use pre-rendered 3D sprites now. Nintendo wanted the original Yoshi's Island to look like this (after Donkey Kong Country's success) but Shigeru refused and utilized a timeless crayola style that still holds up today. This new graphic style however reminds of the Gameboy Advance era when pre-rendered was still a thing.

Another thing that bugs me are the character animations. They are a lot softer and more bland compared to the original, along with being too fluent. The original has animations that are executed way more beautiful with like half the frames.

Yes, based on what I've seen, this looks more like a remake than a new game. The only real new thing is the gigantic eggs, but on the other they haven't revealed a whole lot in general.

Personally, the Yarn Yoshi game revealed for the Wii U looks more interesting, but nothing has been said about that game since the initial reveal.

I dunno...if it plays like Yoshi's Story and has multiplayer, I'm interested. As it stands, however, it looks more like a Yoshi's Island remake. I've only played Yoshi's Island DS, which I wasn't too enthralled with, so I'll remain on the fence about this one.

I think it looks okay, despite what others are saying about the graphics. Let's be honest guys, I don't think Nintendo was gonna top the original Yoshi's Island in terms of graphics. Gameplay wise, it looks like the perfect combination of Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Story.

I kinda wanna know more about that. Yes, this new yoshi game interests me, but the Yarn Yoshi looks way more interesting than this one does

not a fan of the art style on this one. i have loved previous Yoshi games so i will keep an eye out for it.
