Not really. I'm just saying that it's silly that people can make an amount of money so disproportionate to the amount of actual work they do. The same shit goes for actors and baseball players.

They are secretly funding the eradication of Content ID videos, so that when youtube lifts this, they shall be the first to respond with videos and make tons of revenue. And youtube will gain much more viewings as people are being drawn back in hoards.

Seriously though, it seems like they're not hurting anyone, so if they want to make money, then so be it...but I feel like this whole YouTube-celebrity-revenue-system is just a bubble that'll pop sooner or later. Maybe it isn't....
But if it is, what are they going to do when shit hits the fan?

Google=Bread YouTube=Circuses In the early 90's, I read a short sci-fi story, about how people at home made money by telecommuting, entertaining, educating, over a computer/TV network. Still seems hinkey and disingenuous :|

Now building Vault 101, reverse engineered from yesterdays technology.. or I could ignore it, and let you figure it out |:

As long as there is an audience people are likely to continue with what they are doing.

There are a ton of stupid people who enjoy stupid things. There's an audience for stupid people who enjoy stupid things. I understand why people find PewDiePie funny more than I understand why people enjoy all these stupid reality shows. Honestly, I probably would have gotten some enjoyment out of PewDiePie in my pre-teens. I don't mind that he's probably a multi-millionaire because of him forcing himself to act scared.

What I do mind is the awful annoying fan base.

Actually, it entirely can mean that, it just depends on what the thing is

And you can use copyrighted material like video game characters if it's for parody, as in Egoraptor's case.

There is no difference between a parody and a spinoff show otherwise the former is under the guise its mocking rather than being a continuation of the film. Egoraptor's doesn't work as a parody since its not mocking anything within the genre, it's a supplement to it except it just has a bunch of guttural jokes added to it. Mario or SOlid Snake swapping cum isn't a parody for instance, mocking the dynamics of the show and the intelligence of its creators/ audience is.

I'll ask again, how is Egoraptor allowed to earn a single cent when other studios have to purchase characters in order to sue them?

It wouldn't bother me as much if he was actually good at videogames.

Many Youtubers work 70-80 hour weeks for the content they produce. Sure, it's not building schools or curing cancer, but it's entertainment; it helps people lighten up after a hard day. Plus, many of them participate in charities.

I do agree, though, with athletes and actors making millions for playing around with balls or pretending to be somebody for a couple hours.
