New in Newgrounds

I've been uploading my animations to YouTube for about a year, and I've been doing animation for maybe some years and YouTube did not get me a lot of views at all. I tried uploading one of my cartoon episodes to Newgrounds one morning and when I got home, I had 200 views! The same episode on YouTube had 16 views. I almost have 300 views on one video in only a few days, and I think Newgrounds is an amazing way to make cartoons and get better with critical reviews and focus more on what the reviews are telling you rather than on YouTube in which they either just call the creators of the cartoon names if the animation is not good. Newgrounds has a much nicer community than YouTube. I am continuing making episodes for both Newgrounds and YouTube.

Youtube do not have so comminity, it is just collection of random people, and there are too many videos to find only your one.
If u want get more views on Youtube you need find place where you can advert yourself and send people to go to Youtube to watch you.

Unless you make something with tits or something extremely useful, like a Flash 8 tutorial about how to create fire animations (making a proper fire animation is a hell of a job), you won't get views. Also, Youtube has a mechanism when it features your videos if you're active and subscribe to other people's channels. So if you'd be incredibly annoying and never let go of people, you would get more views despite whatever contents of your videos.

It means you have potential. Listen closely to what reviewers tell you, watch other animations, and try to get better. (By better I mean spending both more time on animations and adding much much more high-quality details to them.)

Not make - show. Newgrounds is traditionally a place to showcase Flash animations and games. And it is the oldest. It has formed an audience specialized on viewing animations and playing games.

Don't be fooled. 90% of reviewers are still complete morons and will tell you nothing of use. Post your animations here, in the Animation forum, if you want real, manly, BRUTAL feedback.

Not sure how is it possible to focus on someone calling you names. By the way, when people call you names on Newgrounds, they get banned. Unless for whatever reason their review is still not considered offensive or hateful.

Might as well trash Youtube and stay exclusively on Newgrounds. There's no point in uploading 2 same videos on the Internet. If you Google your cartoon, what will it bring - 2 exactly same videos. People will click ONE. So there is no point.
