Do any of you know any way to raise your computer's maximum audio level without requiring some kind of hardware or software?
I hear a lot of songs and stuff here and there that are really quiet even if I turn everything to the maximum, and it'd be amazing if I could just raise the max.
If it helps, the computer I'm using at the moment is a Dell Inspiron

Get the wax out of you ears.
Or get headphones.

You could try going into your Sound Properties and enabling Loudness Equalization and see if that does the trick if you want louder sound.

Click the icon on the taskbar which looks like a speaker and then drag the slider all the way up.

Try googling 'audio enhancer'. I found a program once long time ago when a movie was too quiet, but it was a trial version. Maybe you will be able to find freeware.

You should see a doctor, you might have a hearing problem. You might also want to get an audio computer, which is a computer designed for making music, however, they're expensive as fuck. But they're audio quality is unparallelled.

Perhaps setting the output device from "stereo speakers" to "headphone" will give it it an extra boost.

Eh, I'll most likely start losing my hearing around my late 30's or early 40's anyways, I've had incredible hearing all my life and I've never really been protective of my ears

Err, headphones? At max volume? Yikes.
When I have my headphones plugged in, I rarely put the volume on the computer above 10/100.
I -think- you have a hearing problem~ Or your computer has issues.

Yes you most certainly will, you shouldn't shoot a .22lr without ear protection if you can help it much less a fucking Weatherby magnum
The damage probably will not be immediate, but it'd suck to go DEAF even at age 40

I don't plan on living past 40, maybe 45
Anything after that and I'm completely lost, I'll probably go to MT. Fuji and have a seppuku ritual

That's what happened a few weeks ago when I made that thread about being too happy
Well, technically we didn't meet, since I've known her since the 7th grade
