How do you guys feel about split infinitives? Do you like to remove them entirely, or do you like to carefully consider where to put them?

I don't know what type of writing you are doing, but I'll assume you're writing fiction.
Since they require an adverb you should be highly critical of where you use them. Adverbs are, more often than not, unnecessary as they usually tell the reader what happens, instead of showing. If you can find a way to use them that is showing, or you have a very good reason to be telling, then go for it. This really only applies to using split infinitives in your narrative. Putting them in dialogue is fine if that is how you want your characters to be portrayed (just don't go crazy with them).
