Captain America is hundred times more cooler than stuff from Man of Steel.

Superman is the greatest superhero out there and you know it.
I thought the first movie was alright.
I'm English so overly patriotic Americans annoy me, naturally, but I hella enjoyed Captain America and look forward to the next installment.
Captain America is too much of a str8 edge for me

Well, he's incapable of being inebriated, you know. That sucks.
I haven't seen either one. I must be missing out

Do be honest, not really.
There's no reason to look up to someone too perfect. He has no REAL weaknesses. He's too strong and powerful to be anyone to relate to. You want someone with flaws. It's what makes someone interesting. Hulk has anger issues, Iron Man a chauvinistic asshole, Aquaman can barely survive out of water. Atleast there's flaws...and flaws make you relateable and cool.

As far as power goes, yeah, he's the greatest, but as far as character goes, he doesn't even come close

Looking up to a character isn't the same as wanting to relate to one.
But then, I guess he is a little perfect
Which is why we get all the obvious Jesus symbolism in all of his damn movies

You don't even want to know

I could have phrased this part better
But like
Looking up to, wanting to be someone because of their positive traits, their being a role model, someone you want to be
That's not the same as wanting a character to be relatable, you know? Someone who has problems and messes up and has some negative characteristics, someone interesting to watch
I mean, there can be and have been overlaps, but they aren't one and the same
Also I don't think Superman's been particularly perfect in any of his 1990s-and-beyond adaptations so I think most of the common complaints people have aren't based on anything recent.

All superhero movies are mysoginistic an promote a rape, male-dominated culture.
Why can't Captain America be a woman? A woman can do any job either just as well or BETTER than any man without having to expose herself. This movie unfairly casts women in a negative light and I think it should be banned along with men in general. It's movies like this that allow the games industry to enforce a male patriarchal mindset on people and promote a culture where rape is okay. I mean, there are now men who lie about getting raped because it's so prominent. Studies show that men CANNOT get raped by a woman unless she is using a strap on. Men have the ability to control erection and any penetration done by them will give them pleasure. This rape culture along with these male "rape" cases make rape seem like a joke when it's not. That's why I hate movies like this.
I thought the first Captain America film was arguably the worst of the Avengers franchise. I'm not very excited for the sequel either.

...Have you only read Ultimate Cap or something? 'Cause sure, Movie Cap isn't 100% accurate to the comics, but to say he's nothing like the comics version is just incorrect.
"Anything could happen in the next half hour!"
"For the love of God, don't stop pretending you're a dragon!"
fell asleep during the first movie, don't want to see any sequel. recasting someone you already used as a major role in a previous marvel production™ says a lot about how desperate they are to push out these cash grabbing trash fests. i'm getting really sick of super heroes, there is a world of possibilities when it comes to making these movies yet we have people like joss whedon who just resort to pulling danger out of nowhere and having the entire movie revolve around pandering and one liners.

His movie adaptions are certainly my least favorite of the whole crew, not counting what's her face and what's his name who weren't allowed to have their own movies. It'd be swell if his character development extended beyond "i'm a fella from the past and I don't like mean people."
If they insist on pumping out Avengers-related sequels, i'd rather see The Hulk than Thor or Captain America at this point. Iron Man's all well and good, but they're really beating all the money out of him that they can.
You look nice today.
This guy brutally sodomizes me.
Cereal is pretty cool. If you're cool you'll add me on Steam. Also, Letterboxd.

Didn't I just watch Olympus has Fallen and White House Down? Seems like patriotism is bigger than ever. :P
As for Captain America, I don't think I ever finished watching the first one, no idea why...

Except that wasn't a marvel film. It was a fox film. I thought you meant they'd recast someone from the first Cap filmas someone new in Winter Soldier.

The second one looks awesome, I love the Winter Soldier. Even though I already know the twist ending or whatever.

Have you seen the first Thor? That was total bullshit... I hate when superhero films make their main character lose his powers... The second was much better.
