I approve of this thread.
Also, the games that are on my TV right now are pretty bad. The Eagles and Cardinals battling for the NFC's second wildcard spot on Fox is only slightly more interesting than watching the pillow fight that is Jacksonville v. Cleveland on CBS.
At least I'll have my Bengals at four...

Do you guys really think the NFL should really take away a draft pick from the Steelers for Mike Tomlin little stunt?
I know there is going to be a huge fine for him, but I think that would be a little excessive.

No, they shouldn't. That night was hard enough on the Steelers. How many of their guys got injured? Three? I know two got injured trying to get a touchdown at the end of the game. I agree that Tomlin was an idiot for the little stunt he pulled, but they shouldn't do something to the team. A huge fine sounds like the right punishment.

This. You shouldn't punish an entire organization and fanbase for the actions of one man. The draft picks thing is overkill to the extreme. Just fine him and move on.
Also, Philly is starting to roll on the Cardinals. Up by 10. This game is still pretty dull.

I agree. I don't think he did it on purpose, but he really should have known better than to be so close. Apparently the NFL just got done lecturing coaches and staff about distance to the field, and that may play into it. It's still overkill though.
Football was pretty damn dull today until New England caught up to Houston.

Exactly. Punish the person who actually did it and that's it.
I hope your Bengals win today, by the way. I think they'll get by since I think the Chargers are all out of juice from last week.

The player who was running did fine anyways even though Tomlin was a little too close. In my opinion, I think he was trying to pull a fast one. If that was or wasn't the case, he's still getting fined for it. I just don't think the Steelers should be punished for something their coach did.

Yeah, I wish I got that game. It seems pretty intense. I'd laugh if the Patriots lose and the Texans finally break their nine game losing streak. It seems like they actually woke up today.

At least I have redzone here so I just get wall to wall scoring plays, which is making up for some otherwise uninspiring early matchups. Annoyed but not surprised that the Patriots managed to win another tight one.
Saying that I'm enjoying the finish in Minnesota.
Staying up late for the Broncos game as this may be the last tough game of the regular season. I feel confident that a Broncos win and they'll sweep the remaining four games and take the Number 1 seed in the AFC. Chargers vs Bengals should be great as well, after all San Diego is usually a different beast in December.

That game against the Texans should not have been that close. They're the Texans, for chrissakes. If the Patriots keep playing like that, they're in trouble. That, and Brady has basically been carrying the team on his back all season.

Not even switched to the Denver game yet.... this one is great! Vikings were absolutely robbed of the win by the refs- did anyone else see the so called facemask call? Because I saw very little contact, if any at all. Glad they have another shot now to finish this one off...

A large fine will be sufficient in this case. He didn't mean to do that at all, but that doesn't excuse him from doing it in the first place. Tomlin is lucky that it didn't decide the game, otherwise The punishment would be far worse, and the Ravens would be crying conspiracy again, not that they didn't do that before.

Well, the Browns and Jags was was a good game, and somehow, only the Browns would let back to back 200 yard performances from Josh Gordon go to waste. Probably should've traded him instead of Richardson. As for Houston, it wasn't a surprise that they lost, they have no heart.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

I think the whole steelers organization should be punished because the fans and the whole franchise is the most undesireable species in all of sports.

Man, even the Bengals game is boring to me today. Must be too tired or something. Low scoring affair thus far as the Chargers and Bengals are tied at seven a piece at the half.

Same old story judging by the score and stats- Bengals defence is doing a good job of holding Rivers and the Chargers offense, but is being seriously let down by their offense, which is struggling for yardage both through the air and on the ground.
Denver slowly getting back into it with some big throws from Manning. Hopefully they can keep the costly errors at bay and push for the win. Denver has more than double the number of fumbles than any other team in the AFC (16).
Really need the win here to put the AFC West to bed.

Check it out, a song parody I submitted to fanfiction.net just received a response from someone who thinks I spend time hating on the Pats than rooting for my own team. Too bad I can't respond to him since it was my team that beat the Pats that year, I was gloating when I wrote that over a year ago. It's funny how you can net some responses that can be downright ignorant.
Also there's a fangirl who thinks I'm a Tebowtard.

Welp, it wasn't the most exciting game and Andy didn't look very good today, but a win is a win. Bengals did good.
Also, this Denver game is awesome.

I'm surprised Atlanta and Buffalo are going to overtime. I expected Atlanta to roll over and die again.
A win is a win, I guess, but Cincy's offense really needs to step it up. This does not look like the same offense that beat the Steelers early in the season (though to be fair, the Steelers were sucking that game too).
Personally, I'm waiting for the Saints and the Seahawks on Monday.

Can't complain about a road win, but the offense seems to be stuck in neutral at times, and this really shouldn't be happening with the talent on that offense. A strong defense can only get you so far, and contrary to popular opinion, does not win championships, otherwise the Steelers would've have more than 6 titles by now.
BTW, who is that girl? I'm curious.

Not going to get much sleep before work now (It's coming up to 1AM UK time), but worth it for a massive win. Too close yet again, but all of Denver's tight games have been on the road this season. At home they are a different beast, and I can only hope they maintain that in the playoffs this year.

They're probably the most disappointing team this season. With all the talent they have they struggled, what the heck happened?

Redskins just got screwed with a bad call at the end of the game. I'm sure ESPN will be all over that poor officiating. What an icky win for an the Giants. Sucks that this is how Washington's playoff hopes die.
