Need Help

Well I was working on an animation that I would like to upload on here, I lost the FLA file when my computer died, but luckily I had uploaded the full SWF on my dumping grounds. my SWF file is just a little too big to be uploaded on here and was wondering if there is a way to make it smaller. I've tried importing the SWF into flash, but the entire flash had errors, movie clips don't have the effects on them, etc etc..

I'm not sure you can shorten a swf without having access to the original .fla have you tried converting it into a different format with swivel?
