Now having started watching it, it's all I can watch! I cannot get enough of it.
The animation style is amazing and really I don't think they could have re-made it any better. Saying that I do like the darker stuff and there is a new TMNT game and live action movie coming out that should fuel that craving.
I just wanted start a subject on the TMNT in general and as this is the Animation thread lets talk about the old TMNT style compared to the new.
Which do you prefer?
It's decently animated, but the style is ruined by unnecessary anime tropes. The target audience for this show is painfully obvious.
When I saw the initial images for the new series and specifically, April being a teenager, I was really turned off. But that show is amazingly good. I really like how similar to Teen Titans it is and how they even use some of the same voice actors.
I would recommend everybody give this show at least the 2 episode viewing test before totally writing it off. (I always do 2 episodes just in case the first episode you see just happens to be the worst episode of the series)

Yeah I understand what you are saying, that put me off a lot but somehow it grew on me.
