Drug use not being taboo

Is it just me or is the amount of people who say they do drugs on newgrounds increasing? I thought it was taboo to say "Oh I use crack" "Oh I do pot" etc. I mean, it's looked down upon isn't it?

It seems like most soft drugs aren't frowned upon anymore though. Still bugs me when people brag about it - get over yourself, Jesus. But at the end of the day: the fuck does it all matter. People do whatever they want, amiright? Harm yourself all you want (no arrogance implied), as long as you don't take others with you.

Illegal things are taboo usually... certainly should be, because I'm getting tired of hearing about pot smokers "smoking a bowl". It's like saying I went out to the grocery store today. Or I ate chips today, y'know?

I have a buddy and it's like the only thing he's proud of in life is that he smokes pot. It's pretty pathetic, really.

I'm gonna focus on marijuana here since it's the only one I'm willing to talk about.

Well, we have a couple of places here in the US where it isn't illegal to use marijuana as a recreational/social substance, at a state level. This has perhaps increased the number of people comfortable with talking about it. Medical marijuana is also legal in several states. I dunno man. Yeah, it's some thin ice, but it's like they say at the roller rink "Skate at your own risk." I personally take no offense to it.

But if someone is talking to you about it and it makes you feel uncomfortable, you should let them know. Kindly ask them to talk about something else and if they're willing, they'll switch topics.

I'm a weekend weed smoker. Sometime I smoke weed after long day of tired works. I absolutely see nothing wrong with weed. I'm not sure about crack and meth.
