Still in need of a 1080 monitor, but I'm just going to wait until I see a fantastic deal on one, I have a small HDTV I'll be using in the meantime (Although, I'm fairly certain it's only 720p). I'd like to keep the R9 270 because it comes with free BF4 and will save me something like £30.
validate my choices.

You mean the website I linked to? It works fine for the US and probably most western countries (including AUS and NZ), and in the US there are way better deals, bundles, cheaper prices, mail rebates. They can build the same computer for about the same price in $ rather than £, so they could build mine for about $600, which is £370, cheaper than an Xbox One!

I hear a good mouse is a worthwhile investment, note how I've gone for a cheap keyboard.

Apparently I just live under a rock then. Since finding these types of things are near impossible.

I'm using a USB mouse that came with my parent's computer almost a decade ago.
Not had any problems yet.

ironically this is just the kind of talk you'd hear from someone who doesn't know anything about computers . . . i bet your mouse doesn't even have any textured rubber side grips or a gold plated connector. it probably doesn't even have any green leds lol

I own a Razer Mamba mouse and sadly I do not like it one bit; namely because the software for it (and the rest of the Razer brand) is just garbage. I've been more than happy with Logitech products and always had no problems using them. Also they tend to be more cost-effective. If you wish to stay with Razer, more power to you.

I've cheaped out now and am buying a much cheaper mouse, checked teh reviews for my new choice and it's only £15, so I suppose saving £30-£35 is a bonus.

If you are willing to spend roughly around another £150 tops or so, I would up your CPU model from an FX-6300 to an FX-8320 and consider an SSD like a 120GB Samsung 840 EVO to run your Operating system and Applications off of (and then install your games onto your 2TB Seagate HDD). Just to be safe as well, I would up your PSU from a 430W to a 550W model to compensate for the above parts if you are willing to splash out abit more (and anything else you want to eventually fit into it).
Other than that, it looks like a good value-for-money bundle you have going (presumably it's going to be for general Gaming + Multimedia use?)

Why don't you buy an Alienware so you won't have to go through the hassle of building a PC?

I'll start by saying I've done roughly 3 dozen builds in my life - for myself and others. I prefer Intel procs to AMD and I can't recommend Lian-Li cases enough. General advice? Don't break the bank for top-of-the-line components - particularly graphics boards. They will be outdone in a few months time and be half the price. There's always a great sweet spot at any given time for price-to-performance. Again, this particularly holds true for gpu's.

Building your own is fun and you're better prepared for troubleshooting a machine you built yourself. It's also cheaper.

OOOOKKKKKAY I WILL BITE DOWN ON THAT HOOK AND RIDE THE LINE.
cpu, you could have gone for the for an extra 60$ you could have knocked it up .5 Ghz and got the FX-8350 that is an 8 thread processor instead of a clocked out 6 speed processor, that will burn out in a few years
OHHH HOLD THE PHONE, IM GONNA RIP YOUR PIECE OF SHIT APART HERE.
motherboard is found and sold primarally to offices for buisness use becasue its cheap and cost effective for its power output and it comes with a integrated chip set. they are sold for around 40$
the board however has been plauged with thousands of chipsets taht came in dead, and then had to be re-made
the error in the seat syncs were the issue and as a result many people went over to the 990FXA-UD3 AMD 990 ATX
that turned out a host of readily profitable results and power
100$ more
memory, 2007 but still cutting ed... g... yeah..
8 gb.. what are you trying to do.. play wow on medium graphics?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231519
whats that? 44% more power? for less... the fuck is this...
it offers the same memory?
oh i can fix that..
http://www.geil.com.tw/products/show/id/366
whats that ... is taht DOUBLE the memory for only a little more money?
no fucking way... and its still 44% more powerful... no fucking way...
storage.
.... sea gate... sea...gate...
the company that is just like nextech? the company that shoves out millions of a storage devices and then has millions of returnes?
that one?
the company that was told that the motors that they wanted to use were highly faulty? but they said it was cheap to produce, so build it? and then sold it at the same price of other higher end models?
that company?
just wanted to make sure...
graphics..
Asus Radeon R9 270 2GB Video Card
hahahahahahaha
...
ahahahahahahaaha
*pain*
when you are ready to take your computer seriously.. look into Radeon HD 7850 model or above.
the other things are not so bad, if you are looking for a junker that you can roam around the house with, or set up anywhere... the wireless g/n that you have is not that bad but you should really look for a stronger signal reciever...
the wireless g/n will only be as good as your motherboard can process it, and if it sucks, then why are you even getting it,
power... adverage
keyboard,.. low end
mouse.. low end
in summery, if you safe your money for an extra 500$ you get a computer that will be able to stand in todays world for more then 4 months before you say that its a piece of junk...
like seriously.. you are custome building a shopping cart to race against people that have cars...
fuck with me will you?!
tell me that i dont know what im talking about will you?!

Most logical thing to do is to take your old PC and replace the CPU, mobo, RAM and video card(s) with newer high-end ones.

Dude, you're technically the one who started trolling in the first place. Though I didn't get a good look at OP's build earlier I'm in agreement with the motherboard and hard drive. Currently Western Digital is king in the storage department so he can grab a blue and go with a motherboard from MSI, Asus, or Gigabyte. As for keyboards and mice: they're a dime a dozen unless you're looking into high-performance stuff for gaming.

A wired optical mouse for £47 is quite expensive when being compared to causal wireless mouse. I think you could get the pair of keyboard and mouse on sale days in computer store for less than £30.
